I think it is a bit of a daft discussion as Hive was set up to distribute HIVE to as many people as possible. If you remove the reward pool, then what is Hive? 😳
I agree Layer 2 isn't sustainable yet but also ... Layer 2 tokens are not decentralised 😮 So not quite sure how that would work any better than the base layer.

Haha, was just writing it for a quest then it struck some chord in me so I just went for it, lol!
Yes, it was designed or coded that way, for the token to get into more people and hopefully continue to be done that way. Not sure either how things would work but it's just good that none of the big stakeholders are for it.
My theory is that people were bored and created some drama 😂
It's probable, the bear season is has been so long, lol!
