I have a 10% minimum I try to keep in HBD savings. I just did a dive into the APR and I set a goal of putting 3 HBD per day into savings this year. Like you say it is far to irresistible to not take advantage of. It is a balance between all the pools I add to, savings, and powering up.
You've done a good job of passing your goal this year so just keep at it and the next will be surpassed in due time.

10% is a good percentage to set aside in savings. It's nice that you already planned on what to do so all the best to you on that.
