The time for an upgrade has come!

With my crypto wealth getting bigger and bigger, I think the time has come for upgrade on how I hold them.

Bye bye old fashioned USBs, bye bye paper wallets. Hello sexy ledger!

On a serious note, the main reason I got myself a hardware wallet is ease of use. Also, in case I die or whatever it will be easier for my silly successors to recover my funds.

What about you? Are you using hardware wallet or what?

Felicidades, espero te funcione, oye no es esa una de las cosas que filtraron la vez pasada que tiene hasta demandas por ello.
Bueno espero con eso tengas resguardado todo con ello.
Saludos.

I picked up a Ledger Nano X myself not too long ago. At this point I haven't had the time to dig into it and really try to figure out how it works. I will get to it at one point. I don't actually hold enough crypto that it is imperative right now.

my silly successors to recover my funds

i am sure they don't mind being called 'silly' given the crypto at stake

What about you? Are you using hardware wallet or what?

I have gotten written and kept somewhere safe. i also use password managers.

btw, let me know when you are getting rid of your desk. I need one

I've wanted to get one for a while now but have not, what do you think of this model specifically?

to be honest I feel more secure with the hive and leo I have powered up than with any other way of securing my assets, also I don't hold enough of other coins to make it worth while

These cold wallets don't support neither HIVE, nor LEO. Maybe in the future, but there's a long way to go.

my point was that I feel more secure with powered up hive and leo than with hardware wallets

I understood your point. However, I power up almost everything because I use it for curation and also because of what I get of inflation. Keeping liquid without any purpose is not healthy.

Very snazzy! I've looked into it a bit, but haven't jumped yet... last I checked, my conclusion was that I have too much of my (modest, to begin with) crypto in "unusual" coins that can't be stored in a hardware wallet.

I have a lot of my "value" in things like staked Hive and LEO, and DeFi projects and such.

I hope you'll share a review of sorts after you've been using this one for a while!

=^..^=

I had one in use for years, but now changed back to a software wallet. Hardware can fail too and you can loose it as well.

You have the seeds and can buy another, recover your assets.

Indeed, maybe I will reactivate it to distribute the risk more broadly.
But what if it is out of stock or the company went bancrupt?

I'm using a TREZOR for the same reason and I'm pretty satisfied with it. It's easy to use.

I bought one last year, it fucked up, it was a real pain in the arse using those piddly little keys to reset it. I got my funds back, bought a Trezor which is much more useable.

Never thought about that for ease of access for future holders of my coins. Had a Trezor and my thieving gardener stole it and just got to get around to replacing it.

I have never used a legder. Not wealthy enough. I still hodl on a hot wallet and exchanges. Maybe next bull market, if these will not become old fashioned.

I have a ledger and a Trezor - prefer the Trezor. Though the Nano I have is a different version.

Sorry for that may be a silly question
but I did not know anything about ledger
what if it is damaged or lost
Can you recover your crypto ?

I don't use a hardware wallet and I don't have enough crypto to make it worthwhile. While some may not like it, most of my investments are still in the stock market as I still do decent trading wise. I tend to treat crypto as a HODL and I may buy one in the future as I start getting more involved on the crypto space.

Nice!

I am not using a hardware wallet yet, as I don't have enough crypto that isn't staked to warrant a purchase like that.

But I should certainly at some time do the same.

I still use an offline wallet. I hope I get to that point where I can get a hardware wallet. I like the colour..

At somewhere between $50 and $100 for one of those gadgets, I will just stick to the old fashioned paper wallets for now. I don't hold Ethereum or Bitcoin anymore, so really no reason for me to have one right now.
