The Importance Of Snackable Content

Over the past few weeks, I've been diving into some crypto projects that aren't on any blockchain per se...But have been giving me a glimpse into the future of basically....Everything online!

If you have been hanging around @LeoFinance for any amount of time, you'll know a big chunk of the creators here have discovered Noise.Cash

A slick little project backed by some massive supporters of Bitcoin Cash.

Yes, it's centralized and not only any blockchain...But it gives you a taste...A very exciting taste as to what will come from the LeoFinance team with their micro-blogging platform.

And while that's all fine and dandy...How do we transition from long form content that a lot of people n this blockchain are used to...Into bite sized 'snackable' content that really is...What the rest of the internet is used to...?

If you are familiar with my core training platform, we're big on training our members into developing brands through content marketing and social media.

And yup, our training focuses on not only traditional social media...But the blockchains as well.

Specifically Hive, CTPtalk and of course...LeoFinance.

What is crystal clear to me after the past 2 weeks of messing around with Noise.Cash is that when Leo launches their micro-blogging project...The old guard better watch out!

The speed and micro-content that makes sites like Twitter and Instagram household names...Will then be coming to the blockchain.

So it's important for content creators and social media marketers to get READY for the changing of the guard.

We must take all the practices we used on traditional social media and start bringing it to these new platforms.

Simply put, this is just the beginning of the influx of potential users we will see. We are literally at the beginning of this.

My issue with why the mainstream never caught onto Hive immediately is that...The majority of the 'every day user' isn't going to sit around and read long form content 24/7....

But they will scan their phones....

They will 'like' things on the go.

They'll engage with super short video clips.

They will DEVOUR snackable content.

So my recommendation to you content creators on the blockchain....Gear up!!!

The masses will be coming, especially with all the drama surrounding censorship on the traditional platforms....

And we need to be ready :)

Some tips and tools:

  • Use Canva.com - If you are not a Photoshop pro, using an online tool like Canva is priceless. Remember, for snackable content it's got to capture people's attentions. Graphics do that!

  • Practice on crypto based platforms like Noise.Cash and even Torum. While they are not in the Hive eco-system you will be blown away at the results you can get while attracting them to follow you over here.

  • Remember, snackable content means....Short. Sweet. To the point.

  • Engage to every single person who responds to you! I cannot stress this enough...Do the @taskmaster4450 500 comment challenge if you don't believe me!

  • And don't try to create a masterpiece...Snackable content is what we call 'flow' content. Designed to keep you top of mind on social platforms and remind people you are someone they should follow. But it should never be an attempt at a Pulitzer Prize!

You hit the nail on the head here. #ProjectBlank is going to bring the type of content style/engagement that exists on these new platforms (which are ironically non-blockchain compatible) to Hive - the best content-oriented blockchain in the world.

We'll do a whole training module on it to and stick it into CTP...Get more people from outside the blockchain space taking a strong look at this stuff.

Awesome! We’ll need to spread the message far and wide when it launches, so that will be a huge help :)

Hopefully, LeoInfra V3 will also launch around the same time. This will mean lite accounts via Google, Facebook and Emil as well.

Very nice image. It really does condense what you generally say into an easy way to remember. That 500 comment challenge seems like a huge hurdle. I think I think I am doing about 20-30 comments a day or so right now as that is about how fast my RC recovery rate can keep up with (along with the other Dapps I use). I do gain some HP everyday so that amount can slowly go up over time.

I totally agree with this. Who wants to read 500 word posts today? People want to be entertained and fill the minutes they have at disposition. When I'm waiting in my car for my kids after their sports training, what do I do? Do I read hive posts on my phone? No I check my noise.cash account and look for the red bell :-)

I think there is a time and place for it all.

For example, Medium has built a massive platform based on long form.

But the every day user, I feel, embraces short form much more.

One reason why I stopped creating daily content on Hive was that it simply took me too much time, because I'm not a natural writer, and what a natural writer takes half an hour or an hour to write, it takes me few to several hours. That's not very productive!

I have a feeling the short form content LeoFinance is prepping might be better suited for me at times, although I won't 'blank' many times a day like it's probably customary on such platforms.

It's a really exciting development for sure. I think the most exciting thing is having people who were too afraid or lazy to post a long blog be willing to participate on the platform now that they can just post whatever is on their mind. If this proves to be a success then I'm hoping the microblogging will expand to other topics besides crypto/finance.

Something we train people on is to embrace that when they first start out...Their content wont be that good!

So it's important to plug into a community that encourages you, and supports your growth. Using snackable content helps you grow and get better!

That is a pretty awesome infographic you created. I love making them for my end users and I love using Canva. It is such a sweet program. I am lucky that I get the full version because I am an educator. I am super excited about the possibilities that micro blogging on Leo are going to bring for me.

Wow, I am wowed at this and surprised at how fast Noise.Cash and Torum are growing but I don't know why I find it difficult to engage in that site. I have abandoned my account for about one month or so since I opened it but I can't seem to find my way around.

You really captured this theme awesomely. I agree with all your points as raised in your infographic. It's interesting that with projectBlank on leoFinance, Hive would be joining the league of microblogging platforms but with much more potentials as it is fully decentralized.

Oh yeah, it helped a lot. And I am glad I bumped into this
I have been using Canva.com for a little while now so that wouldn't be a problem I think.
And this noise. cash of a thing is a place I haven't yet tried out but I was hoping to give it a try. Feel it's too much for me to handle or juggle around all these places with quality engagement but I will really try my best if ever I find myself over there.

And 500 comment challenge is not a problem to me :) it flows with varying contents and my mood at a particular time lol.
I really cannot wait for microblogging here and #projectblank is gonna be the best so far on the blockchain. Looking forward to it.

I have to admit I was pretty surprised how good this snackable content thing is working.
I never was into conventional social media, I despise Twitter, so I really didn't see it coming. But those short posts, quick interactions, and so on, are way better suited to build connections and expand your network than I would have ever imagined. I now have 244 followers on the platform and this really helps tremendously with promoting my content!

See my argument is...generating 244 followers on traditional social media is a lot harder...On something like noise Cash, you can reach it and stick out before the crowds notice...Which helps you generate much more loyal followers and engagement!

Noise.cash is doing quite fine with its incentive mechanism. I believe that we need a couple of more projects to be able to create a "real" crypto twitter to attract thousands of people :)

#Projectblank is going to be huge and I hope the snackable content platforms kill the old-school central ones ^^

For some reason, this whole 'snackable' thing is hard for me. When I post something, for me to consider it a "value" to the reader, I need to teach them something or remind them of something they may have forgotten in order to be in a better position than before they digested the content. I am starting to come around, but it is a new paradigm with its associated learning curves.

What a great point you got here! I feels this is so true! Today people looks for faster content, faster to consume, but always present. It is not an easy taks to keep it nice clean and short while passing the complex messages that you want.
