The Political Game : A Sports Poetry

in Freewriters3 months ago

They wouldn't dare us
Men in suits, here for the game
The fans shouting
Raising the flag
For a game already politicized
More was fight to come.
The pass, kicks and dribble
Slow and steady, Boring as whistle
Their fatigue weren't seen
Till one fainted
Red cross ⛑️ to his aids
We might have lost the guy
The many fouls and drug test
Politics as usual
For the game sold, already costed
Play for fun
Enjoy your pay.
