Postage stamps - Elk (Alces alces) - series 100th anniversary of the Moscow Zoo - USSR 1964 - Michel 2917 - my hobby.

Greetings friends!

At first glance, when I started my series of posts on the topic of finance, I chose not the most popular topic - postage stamps from my collection.

But, this is only at first glance.

If you don't talk about something, it becomes covered with a layer of dust and people start to forget about it.

I think you see coins on the exchanges where buy orders have stopped appearing, and these coins are gradually dying, they are not talked about and they are forgotten.

The point is, if, suddenly, you do not know, a postage stamp is a banknote, which, like banknotes, is printed in the mint, has a circulation and its own denomination.

Also, a postage stamp is a part of history that captures some event, or some object.

The circulation of stamps is one of the constituent parts of the value and rarity of this postage stamp.

Very important is the preservation of the postage stamp, its construction.

Over time, the number of stamps does not increase, on the contrary, it means that, gradually, the price of stamps increases.

Even today, during the crisis, I see postage stamp auctions that are quite active.

So, I began my story with a series of stamps, the release of which was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Moscow Zaopark and, gradually, we began to collect this series of seven stamps.

Today, I want to present you the fourth stamp from this series - Elk, with a face value of 6 kopecks.

I suggest taking a look at this beautiful postage stamp.

For 6 kopecks, you could drink two glasses of soda and syrup, make three phone calls, buy 6 boxes of matches, half a loaf of bread, or take a trolleybus twice, but in those days, many traveled on public transport without tickets, lol.

For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
