A wonderful Sunday!

Thank you @ace108 for hosting #beautifulsunday and thank you @c0ff33a for hosting #SublimeSunday.

I can see this thistle feeder through the window when I am sitting in my comfy chair and reading your posts and writing comments on my phone (and using the new v2 esteemapp, which I am learning to love! I am collecting esteem tokens and am waiting to hear more about how we can use them when they are officially announced)

I just happened to look up at the right minute to see this colorful sight and was able to grab the camera and get a couple of through the window shots before they all went their separate ways!

After a long and dreary winter it is such a delight to watch the woods turning green and we have even had a couple of blue sky days between the rain showers.

Wow, Melinda. You were blessed with color. That has got to me a good omen if ever I saw one. The primary colors given wings:)

The red and yellow one are regulars. That was the first time I had seen the blue one this spring. I was quite delighted!

Nah. I don't believe you.
You must have had some blue spray paint at hand ;)

Isn't he cute? They don't come as far north as you are. Spray paint, hmmm. I could have green and purple ones, too!

I'll trade you for a whale! I have never seen one.

I have never seen a whale from BC shores. At the aquarium, years ago, but I have seen fin whales in the wild when I was a kid in the Sea of Cortez. That was amazing.

I was imagining them to be a common sight there! Misconceived impressions. I was standing on the beach once in Mexico talking to one of my kids and had my back to the water when suddenly everyone on the beach started saying did you see it? It was a killer whale! I missed it, but the kids saw it. That's as close as I've been!

That's pretty good. No you pretty much have to go whale watching to see them. There is too much boating traffic on my stretch of water.

It’s an amazing capture. I haven’t seen any of those birds before and for you to get three different colours on one photo is just an amazing achievement. It shows perfectly how big part in a chance plays in photography. You just need to be at the right place at the right time. Well done!

It was the perfect moment. It was the first time that I had seen the blue bunting this spring.

You have such a variety of birds. It seems to me the same old brown feathered ones frequent my yard. I'm envious.

I have the right habitat for them, with the woods and the creek, and add to that supplying their favorite foods, and a bird house or 6, and they like to hang out here!

Isn't there always? A feeder and a birdbath would bring you a better selection!

Nice bird photos. I especially like the fur bird!

I never tried esteem. Is it a phone-based app? I've been posting with SteemPeak lately.

I think the furry one was just laying low and hoping that I didn't see where he had gone so that he could come back down and try to raid the oriole feeder once I went back in the house.

@esteemapp is for your phone and esteem Surfer is for your computer. (links at the bottom of all my posts) I have been an eSteem fan since the very beginning of my Steem days and can't even imagine using anything else! I give them full credit for the success that I have had here.

Beautiful pictures. The first one is fantastic. To get such a variety of colors in this shot is incredible.
As you have done on several ocassions you have provided me with a question I had with the red bird and the blue one.
We also hang a feeder with thistle seed and attract a variety of colored birds. I know the yellow one is a gold finch, but the names of the other two I didn't know. Thanks for sharing these great pictures .

Looks like you have some happy finches, too!
It's hard to tell from your photo, but that may be a purple finch at your feeder. They are native and look quite similar to the invasive and often more common house finch.
The house finch has brown streaks on his flank down under his wing, like the one in my photo with the 3 birds. The purple finch is white/ tinged with pink on his flank. 9iu7nvs56g.jpg

Sublime indeed! I absolutely love that bird shot! I am so glad you are getting some nice weather. I told you the other day that we don't have orioles, but my friends who were here last night told me they saw a bullock's oriole the other day, so I guess we do have them, at least occasionally! Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

Gorgeous photo! Likewise, the nature around you ...
Spring brings so much life and freshness.
I think you have gathered a lot of points ... I don't know what value they will have but I feel they will bring a revival in our work.

Is the phone app working well for you? They continue to improve it each day. I am working on gathering eSteem tokens! It will be fun to find out their value.
Is spring making you feel renewed? I do hope you have recovered from your fall.

Yes, spring makes me feel better ... as for my recovery, I'm far from happening. I do all sorts of analyzes and investigations and it seems to be a long way to healing.

The phone application doesn't work very well, sometimes it interrupts, sometimes it cannot go into the app but things seem to improve. I use more Surfer and here we get points just like the phone application.

I am glad you feel better. I hope they are able to give you some strategies to help you.

I continue to use the v2 app. It does keep improving!

I also use v2app and Surfer...

It looks like you became an ambassador of the esteeemapp :) I haven't tried it myself yet as I'm a little bit discouraged by the beneficiary part that they take away from the rewards. This is why I like steempeak because there you can decide whether you want to put them as a beneficiary or not. It gives you more flexibility.

I love that blue bird! It has such a nice color :) I have never seen these colorful birds around here freely in nature. We have just those 'normal' birds here :)

Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!

I started using eSteem app 2years ago when I first joined Steem, and have never used anything else. Their daily upvotes on my posts have been a huge encouragement and are often what kept me posting each day. I have always realized that for any front end site to grow and become better we all need to help pay the way! The amount I paid in was less than pennies on most of my posts and now that my account has grown I don't mind paying my share. The votes they give me offsets anything I pay in, and they will be announcing how their eSteem Tokens work soon, in the meantime I'm busy collecting them. I do love eSteem and the guys there have always been responsive and helpful. I have some fun stories about them guiding this not very computer literate grandma through the ins and outs of computer glitches!

We do have some lovely colorful birds!

Wonderful! The photo of the three different collared birds is unbelievable. One couldn’t plan a shot like that. And I always love seeing the 🐿. A welcome sight to see the trees turning green. 🌳 💕

You should have seen me 'racing' for the camera when the indigo bunting showed up at the feeder. That was the first time I had seen one in the yard this spring. I got a couple photos of him alone on the feeder and I was very happy to have those. And then the gold finch came, followed rapidly with the house finch and they all jockeyed for position on the feeder and I just kept snapping pictures until I got that one. The indigo bunting only stayed for about 10 minutes and I haven't seen him since!

I don’t think I’ve seen an indigo bunting bird. Now lovely he decided to pay you a visit and you have the photo.

I see a couple every spring. Years ago I had a pair nest in the yard and I saw them every day all summer and probably even took them for granted. They never nested here again, and now I just get brief springtime migration stopovers

You were lucky to catch that trio together before they flew away, lovely looking birds so very colourful.

Great shot of the squirrel as well, they definitely don’t stick around if they think you are watching them!

I was thrilled to get that shot of the three different birds at the feeder. I have not seen the blue one since I took the photo.

My daughter hand feeds the squirrels and the Chipmunks in my yard, so they are far too tame. There are many times when I wish they were afraid of me and that I could chase them away from digging in my flower pots, but they just look at me like they're expecting me to give them a snack and keep digging like they own the place.
