Basketball: I Love You. I Hate You.

By the mercy of God, I had too much work to do last night to watch the Purdue-North Texas game. After 40 years of being a Purdue fan (and alumna) I know Purdue never does anything the easy way. The OT game last night would have almost literally killed me.

Year after year, decade after decade, Purdue comes close, surges, then tears out my broken heart, stomps on it, sets it on fire, and runs over it with a monster truck. Thus ends yet another year of college basketball for this sad Boilermaker. The rest of you enjoy the tournament. Although perhaps I will now root for Oral Roberts, since they took out the Buckeyes last night.
