@spinvest-leo update 19 - was a bit worried this week...

Welcome to the 19th update from @spinvest-leo.

This week was the first without a transfer of LEO tokens from the main @spinvest account. Coincidentally, this week also saw a significant further drop in the LEO token price. This made me quite nervous early in the week, and I had fears for the first time that the account wouldn't make enough to cover the SPI payouts. I even sold a few CTP tokens at one stage to help. Turns out I shouldn't have worried, and the changes rolled out a few weeks ago helped us over the line and into another solid profit week, despite the drop in LEO.

Strong earnings.

The @leo.stats weekly report came out a few hours ago, and show that we have stabilised in the top 10 LEO earners each week, coming in 8th place. The leaderboard has a mix of official accounts and the founder @khaleelkazi, big investors like @dlike on top, and "Spinvest's own" @taskmaster4450 took out second place this week - well done mate.

Boosted Alt-tribe resources.

While Mr Spinny isn't sending LEO anymore, he has sent over 2200 UFM and another 630 CTP tokens this week, which gives us a nice stake to play with. Expect to see an increase in income from those two tribes in the coming weeks.

JAHMPOW!!

I announced late last week that I had added a personal delegation of 10K JAHM (temporarily) to build a JAHM income into this account. Well, I can tell you that the first curation payout came in less than 48 hours ago, and since then we have already built up 150 JAHM owned stake. Doesn't sound like much? That is worth 8 STEEM, in less than 2 days. JAHM is going to become a huge contributor to this accounts earnings, very quickly. If you don't know about Reggaesteem tribe and the JAHM token, I strongly suggest you do some research. Not financial advice, just my opinion. I can say for sure that JAHM will grow to be a significant contributor to @spinvest-leo.

The numbers:

I have redesigned the income table a bit.
For the first part:

  • The first column shows last weeks token amount plus any transfers from Spinvest combined.
  • Column 2 is how much we brought in for the week.
  • Column 3 is what we have sold - to buy SPI rewards for delegators.
  • Column 4 is NET income.
  • 5 is the ending balance and 6 is the change over the week.

The second part shows the same info - with the "tokens sold" column excluded and the conversion to STEEM value column instead.

I think this new layout is clearer, and gives a better picture of what has happened over the week.

Highlights:

  • Earned 766 LEO this week - a new record. :-)
  • Had to sell 510, plus 40 CTP to buy SPI - also a record. :-(
  • Big jump in CTP offset most of the value drop on LEO
  • 8 STEEM value income from JAHM - in only 2 days!
  • If LEO stayed at 0.16 (last weeks price) Things would have looked very different. I think it will come back as once a couple of large holders complete their sell offs.

And the delegator payouts:

If you have not heard of @spinvest-leo before, what we do is accept delegations of LEO power, and pay a weekly passive return with SPI (spinvest) tokens. The return is calculated on 1 SPI per 900 LEO delegated per week. Any amount over 9 LEO can be delegated, for a weekly payout. The main @spinvest account transfers it's LEO earnings to us for now to assist the growth of this account. The asset base we are building here from surplus earnings above the mining payouts are added to the Spinvest asset base, increasing the value of the tokens you earn.

Thanks to everyone supporting this program, especially the delegators. Don't forget, when making a delegation, please DO NOT put the @ sign in, it leads to an outbreak of Leprosy. (or at least the delegation doesn't work). ;-)

New delegations, or increased delegations always welcomed. You can delegate any amount, however 9 LEO would be the minimum to receive a weekly payout. If these are you first SPI tokens, feel free to ask any questions and check out @spinvest for more information.

I won't say no, but I am not running a reward program for it.

My plan is to slowly remove mine over time... Each time this account builds up 1000 owned JAHM, I'll drop my delegation by 500. This should ensure it will keep growing - but I'm really active on Reggaesteem so I don't want this delegation tied up for long.

Of course if you have JAHM sitting around and aren't sure what to do with it, I'd be delighted to put it to work. I think it will shock a few people how well we will earn from JAHM.

UFM I'm not that active in but we had tokens I could put to use so why not, I've seen a few of our SPI holders are into it - @qam2112 is one I've noticed mostly in it.

POINT is a fairly new, politics focused tribe. I mainly kept the airdrop and put it to work to prove @silverstackeruk wrong :-) - he told me to sell out ASAP. Earning 3 or 4 STEEM value per week - no downside from a free airdrop.

Trailing could be a little tricky. I have this set up with heaps of accounts set for 5% votes, as soon as a post drops. Then I've added a layer of tribe vote multipliers for each token, with different multipliers to effectively use the VP for each tribe. This post from a few weeks ago explains what I have done as best I can. Trailing won't be fully effective without using that multiplier tool.

Hey @shanibeer. Ufm was pretty much dead til we decided to give it new life. The game changer is ufmlotto which you can send ufm/neo/Sports to and win prizes which work out better than selling the coins. 20% gets burnt. Ufm has the craziest burn rate and has pumped up in a week so has neo and sports will over next few days. Check it out when you have time. Its basically new again so work getting in and you can post about anything no restrictions except actifit I think lol

What's your strategy to earn JAHM rewards asides from posting about earning JAHM rewards? Regarding the curation, is it targeted at top producers to make the trending page more lopsided or focused on quality?

A post once a month or so is cool to spread the word about JAHM, but ReggaeSteem is to reward Caribbean content, culture, and music, not for speculating on the JAHM token and maximize curation. This account and any account that purchases or receives JAHM tokens from it will likely be restricted from earning JSNS tokens and other benefits of spending the JAHM on rewards. Anyone who delegates to this account should keep that in mind that it may prevent them from earning a JSNS token and being able to exchange JAHM.

Hey @crypticat, thanks for your input. Here are my responses to your concerns:

  • The only time the JAHM tag will be on one of these posts will be when there is some detailed content within the post directly related to Reggaesteem. This will be rarely (most likely less than monthly, perhaps almost never). I only have 2 posts currently as we have only just expanded into JAHM.

  • Curation is based on my personal whitelist (@jk6276.jahm) which is almost identical to the @jahm.whitelist account you run. We are basically voting the same posts from this account as you are from that one (with the addition of a the @reggaesteem account itself and some of the founders not on the JAHM whitelist).

  • I have no plans on selling any JAHM this account earns, any time soon. 100% staking until further notice.

  • JSNS is not a consideration for us, and not something we are seeking as an investment club.

  • There is no delegation program in place, or rewards for delegators. So far I am the only delegator, but others are free to do so if they have spare JAHM they are not using. Delegators earn no return from their delegation (including myself).

  • I find it to be a bit of a stretch to preclude my personal account from JSNS eligibility simply because I have delegated a relatively small portion of my stake (13%) to this account on a temporary basis.

I hope these answers to your concerns are satisfactory, I'll reach out during the week via discord to discuss further with you.

Hi JK.

  1. That's understandable, it's fine and even encouraged to post once or twice a month about collecting JAHM or ReggaeSteem tribe especially when it's serious numbers like 10k or more :D
  2. As long as your upvoting is based on quality, it's cool. What I mean to say is that Spinvest-leo will not get a JSNS token, nor will the JAHM.whitelist; if their tokens are transferred those tokens will not count towards the 100k. Your personal account is fine and the delegation is fine, many users delegate their tokens for various reasons.
  3. Staking JAHM is encouraged and earns POS
  4. Yes
  5. Makes sense, put the JAHM to good use if you aren't using it or aiming to get a stake. Delegators are in control of their delegation, just remember if there are future JAHM payouts, those payouts will not count towards the 100k JSNS and could lead to disqualification for a JSNS token.
  6. You aren't automatically precluded, but the actions are monitored to ensure that Caribbean Culture/Content is rewarded and not excessive curation/self-upvotes and POS from grouped delegation is rewarded. JSNS is a privilege, not a right.

I just want to have this conversation early so you aren't blacklisted from getting a token or redeeming JAHM for rewards. So that if you do go to Jamaica, your JAHM is accepted. Your contributions to the community are welcomed, creating demand and interest in the token is a mutual aim of you and the ReggaeSteem community.

If you get a chance have a look into ufm and what the lotto is doing for the token as well as neo and starting today sports. I can see your staking which will soon be giving us divs coming soon 😉ufm is burning more neo than neo and more sports than sports which can only be a good thing for them.
