My 2020: Just a normal day | Life as an Undergraduate Nigeria who desire to be Successful.

Hi guys, my name is Olowu Kayode and I'm a proud Nigerian. It's of so much pleasure I'll be sharing with you today how my normal day-to-day lifestyle has been running since I've concluded my industrial training and been on the approach of furthering on with my education. In general, I'm a student seeking for admission. 🙂

Something brief I would love you to know. I'm a National Diploma Graduate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, who just completed a year industrial training and on the verge on furthering my education either with a Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor of Science (BSc).

Cool, I guess? 🤷🏽‍♂

Yeah! So, for quite some while now, my life has been on routine. I design routines to specifically fit in into my present moments. My routine changes often. Quite cool and uncool at time.

Every day's morning, I ensure I'm out of bed latest by 9 O'clock AM. Quite a late time to be getting out of bed, which I know right. But due to the fact that I'm fully aware there are no mandatory task for the day, I always choose to rest my body to the fullest. 😁

By the way, that's not the time I do get out of bed, it's just the latest I've gotten out of bed in recent times.

I wake up every morning firstly to say a word of prayer to God, and sometimes read some pages of the scriptures. I haven't been faithful to reading my Bible lately, just as I haven't been faithful to exercising body daily.

After getting out of bed and saying some words of prayer to God. I always try to do few exercises (in which it has been condemned by my body to be a lazy man's exercise) just in other to get my body system fit for the day's activities tho.

After exercising, I resume to the regular inevitable daily house chores. I live with my uncle, and he leaves the house early in the morning and returns back home late at night (A typical lifestyle of every working class Lagosian). So, I'm left to take charge of taking care of the house and all sort of other home activities. I'm a ladylike Man. 😂😂
A little appraisal I give to myself for finding it comfortable playing the role of a Woman in the home. I bet not all men can... 😜

After the basic house chores such as dust wiping/cleaning, sweeping, and also floor mopping (It annoying to me how floor mopping as forcefully found it way into the daily house chore because of the present atmospheric condition), I then go take me bathe.
Having that morning bathe signifies the beginning of a new/fresh day to me.

After having a decent bathe and brushing my teeth, I get dressed up in a casual outfit comfortable for me to put on indoor. It's during this period while I'm getting dressed up, I decide if I would love to have breakfast or not. I've stopped being a fan of Breakfast since I got into the higher institution. I can assuredly say I've taken breakfast in at most 10days out of the 30-31days we have in a month. It's not a thing to be proud of tho, but it just a usual situation I find myself daily.

After dressing up and set to roll with day, I take my first meal for the day, which at most times I get to eat by past 12pm, which is why I never considered it as breakfast. 😂😂

After breakfast, I take some few minutes to rest and allow the food I just ate digest. While taking a brief rest from the food, I'll quickly pick up my smartphone and surf through my social media account including Steemit to see what's popping in there. I only take out most times during this period, and don't give in (i.e. I leave all messages and comment unattended to. I just read and leave). After about an hour plus of been carried away while resting, I do away with my smartphone and clean up my plates.

It also quite unavoidable that I wouldn't have a laid aside task I'm to take care of each day, either personal or assigned. That's the part I labeled 'Special task' on my routine. 😇

For today I had to do some laundering, and paid a visit to the office where I underwent my industrial training.

I made sure it was brief so I could get back home quickly in order to meet up and complete my routine for the day. Well, I don't always meet up with the routine everyday, but not today. I made sure I did.

After I get back home, I resume to my dedicated time of study. So far now, I've been learning some particular softwares in which I so much desire to know. I spend at least 2hrs everyday learning Softwares. During days I stay indoor all through, I spend most of it learning softwares and lots of other cool stuffs. This was usually the time I would spend creating blogs/vlogs for my steemit page, not until the love of softwares hijacked the moment. Still working on my steemit page too tho.

I'm presently on Adobe After Effects. Its the software I'm glued to for the moment. I really want to be a Master in it. Basically, for motion graphics sake tho. I'm presently taking a Udemy course on it. Course name goes by "Adobe After Effects CC: The Complete Course from Novice to Expert".
Which indeed it is! 😉

Below are some practice exercises I've done so far

These practices are based on Complex Shapes, Shape Morphing, Burst Effects, Timing, Intros. I also did a remix of the Airtel's network tariff plan banner and a remake of the BET Star Film's Intro.

After several hours of learning and practicing, I'm always forced to stop and go get set for my private lesson.

😂😂 I meant, getting set to go take my student. Yeah, I'm a lesson teacher too, and I have a student. I don't teach the regular subjects tho. I teach Mobile Application Development. Based on Android platform only using MIT App Inventor.

I got the job offer when I concluded my Industrial training, and I'm glad I took it because it was included in the skill I obtained from my just concluded training.

I do go to teach him (my student) late in the evening, which is the agreed time. So whenever it's few minutes to to the set time, I briefly look through what I was going to teach him and make sure it's all well set and prepared.

I spend at least two hours of my evening teaching. It does get exceed two hours sometimes. Sometimes three hours, four hours, but the longest I've ever thought him was 5½ hours. It was a Monday public holiday. I'm a great teacher, you know? 😁

I do arrive back home at a late hour after the evening class. Traffic and sometimes lack of available Napep (i.e. Tricycle, the most commonly available and cheapest means of transportation over here in the part of Nigeria I reside) do make me later at times.

I always arrive back home slightly tired or at times fully tired. I do rest a little bit with some good music playing on the television. After a good time of rest, or no rest at all, I launch into the kitchen to prepare Dinner.

Preparing dinner can be at times disturbing for me. It's that time I'll have to think through what have been ate in the previous meal/day to avoid consuming the same particular class of food over and over again.

After preparing dinner, I have always loved to wait for uncle to return back from work, so we can have dinner at the same time. So, whenever I'm done preparing dinner, I spend the waiting time either continuing with learning Adobe After Effects software if I've found it interesting so far that day. But most times I do prefer to either watch a movie/soap opera or browse the internet and surf social media since I do always have unlimited access to internet connection.

My nights are mostly to find rest/comfort after the days stress, so I just choose to do which ever activities go well with me at the moment.

After my uncle finally arrives and we have had dinner, it simply means the days is getting to its close. After meal I resume back to my PC to continuing surfing the net. I think that has been what I do every night, except when I'm out of data.

Also, at night after dinner, I do take few minutes to relearn at least a thing from my college study notebooks. It could either be a topic, just a point, and sometime some calculations or theorems I never too my time to understand well back then.

Before I finally sleep, and bring the day to a close, I take few minutes to briefly say 'Thank you Lord for another successful day'. I then finally sleep.

My day's activities start with me waking up and ends with me going back to bed to sleep most days. But in rare cases, it tends to occur vice-versa and in a haphazardly manner. 😑

Thanks! ☺ I missed yours but I just checked it out now. It was awesome too. I loved the video. I would have loved to make mine in a video form too but I wasn't able..
I so much love your contents even more than you love mine. Lol. They motivate me a lot. I've just been too lazy to leave a comment. I think I would start doing that as soon as I get a smartphone.

Keep up the great work 👍
