Have You Got the Memo? Santa Comes with a PAL Airdrop + More!
After a fulminating start PAL's price (as many of the tribe tokens) dropped considerably.
It was time to do something.
I mentioned the first time I read it from @ aggroed more than a week ago about the plan to use PAL (and potentially other tribe tokens) to pay for the issuance of the newly created NFTs that will soon come on Steem-Engine.
That is part of the year-end excitement around PAL. And there is some excitement, look here:
While there is also enough selling lately to keep the price from taking off, the length of the sticks and the fact they ended in decent green, shows there's a nice buying pressure now.
What is the reason for that, besides what I've just mentioned above?
There's no reason hiding behind words, I already said it in the title. There's not one, there are 9 x 140,000 monthly airdrops coming for PAL!
Here are the rules to participate:
-> The snapshot for the first airdrop will be taken on December 20th
-> The first airdrop will occur on December 24th
-> For the first round users must have 100 PAL staked to be included, which will increase by 100 per month until we hit 500, then it will remain at 500.
-> December 100 PAL
-> January 200 PAL
-> February 300 PAL
-> March 400 PAL
-> April 500 PAL
-> May 500 PAL
-> June 500 PAL
-> July 500 PAL
-> August 500 PAL
-> You will not need to do anything to claim this airdrop, it will be sent staked to your account if you meet the criteria
The airdropped PAL come from the tokens which were set as a sell wall.
That's not all!
The rest of 10m PAL of the sell wall will be burnt!
So, for the first PAL airdrop in December, all you need is to have 100 PAL staked
by December 20th to participate.
The airdrop doesn't go to Palnet mods. And a decision has been made that they will receive one final payment after which payments to Palnet mods will cease.
In the announcement post from @minnowsupport, they also gave a hint about a mobile Palnet app which is in the works, which will have MSP Waves integration:

I'm pretty sure you have more than 100 PAL. :)
How many PALs will be airdropped and how squeezed this airdrop will be remains to be seen. Although by using the square root on the stake, as the point to determine your percent to be airdropped, it looks like this will favor smaller accounts over very big ones. So their goal is to improve distribution.
