This weekend I discovered that my car is leaking a fluid. I'm pretty sure its a CV boot, not the oil or transmission.

This is not the first time that I've had issues with the car, sure I've been driving it for 10yrs, and its a 2006, but it has hardly any miles on it. In fact, it has a couple longer road trips, 3yrs of commuting 20mi and that's almost it. I haven't "commuted" since 2013, so its used to do runs around town, stores, etc.

If it really came down to it, I think we could just dump the car, but we have a couple young kids in the house and they need stuff. Its going to be hard to get groceries or diapers on the bike trailer in the winter. Also I need a car for work, travelling to site, etc. I don't have to do it often, but when I do I can't rely on taxis rental cars, etc.

A car is a necessity, but FUCK!

So, I'm starting to look into a used EV car. I only need something that has 100mi range or so, that would cover 80% of what I need it for. The charger network locally is getting a lot better. That is going to add to the needs of this project. Shortening the timeline a bit.

I don't know what it is going to look like yet, I will have a better idea later this week when I do a finance snapshot b/w the business and personal to see what I have to make this happen.
