Hey guys I know this is a bit late but first of all I want to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY HIVE!

I wanted to make a little introductory post to celebrate such a wonderful day and I also wanted to share with you a recent investment that I made.

How I got 3,333% ROI in TWO WEEKS!

Before we get into that I need to share a little about myself and my story.

I am Riley, you may know me as @rilo!

I call myself an artial martist and I do my best to define the mix matched term.

I see artwork as a medium for spreading a message.

One of the messages that a lot of my artwork sends is the message of survival.

This could also be called marketiing!

In this world so ruled by capital it should make sense that the main purpose of creating art is to make money.

Some might even go so far as to call marketing the art of making money!

Right now my most effective marketing platform has been using Facebook page targeted advertisements.

Some of you may even remember a post that I made awhile back about the petcare side hustle that I use to survive and purchase more HIVE.

The above image is the cover photo to my facebook page Paw City

I gathered the background image from a free rights site called Pixabay.

Although I do have adobe Illustrator and I could have done all of the process with it I also used Canva.com for the final image.

I have to do this because using Illustrator is something I have to prepare for with my current PC and sometimes I cant rely on it even still.

Some of the preparation process is having set aside a few hours to try and get it to work and deal with the frustrations involved in getting it to work.

Not to mention the actual design process.

I mostly just use it for logo design and resizing images for the proper printing format.

Which really sucks and I hate that my PC cant handle it or I would use it more since I am paying a monthly subscription to Adobe(I persist).

Canva is great for creating layouts with previously designed vector assets and creating a standard to your work but it definitely has its limits(I innovate).

This is the logo design I came up with for Paw City(I create)!

I still have to solidify the master text for the logo before I get business cards printed but its very difficult to decide(I grow).

So onto the subject of the 3333% ROI!

I recently ran an ad over the course of 5 days with a daily adspend of $3 for a total of $15 in total.

The ad was a very simple copywrite that I wrote describing the services offered with a call to action and an image roll of images I found to be related to petcare that I also found on pixabay mixed with a few images from my own petcare adventures.

In total I probably spent about 5 hours developing all the assets for this venture.

Before I ran the ad I made sure to build a decent following of friends and family that know and trust my services to like the page and give me a few reviews.

The networking and social media marketing time spent probably amounted to a total of about 5 hours in total as well.

The results came in:

I had a total of 4k impressions and 5 click engagements.

The click engagements all resulted in clients scheduling a free meet and greet.

From those five I had a technical issue on Rover that was later resolved that lost me 2 clients before the meet and greet could even proceed but I didnt let that get me down.

I met with three clients on one day for a meet and greet and was able to secure a job with two of the clients for a total of over $500 to be paid in full over the period of two weeks doing pet care services!

The one client that got away had a dog with medical problems that I wasnt exactly familiar with so they chose to go a different route.

I secured a pet sitting job starting the next week for 9 days and a week long series of visitations that started the next day.

I havent gotten a business license yet and I am not insured so I use this service called Rover which does a great job of helping me get new clients, schedule and keep track of jobs and they take a 20% cut of all transactions on their platform.

My facebook page only serves to help build trust in pushing people to my Rover profile.

If you are ever considering doing petcare you should definitely try Rover!

If you use my referral link I think they even give you a free $20 credit on your first job.

Try out Rover using my code 48367!

A pet portrait commission I am working on from awhile back^

Apart from the amazing ROI the best part about it is that I was able to improve my process that probably kept me from getting past customers.

I put in a total of 5 hours doing the visitations and the pet sitting is kind of hard to measure since I am in the pets home and we are fully interacting at all times.

With this particular pup who has really high energy I have been practicing my training skills and we have been working on all kinds of things.

We go on a 30 minute walk in the morning and evening and have been playing and training quite often throughout the day when he is fussy or high energy.

This is an investment of time that also somewhat serves as an antidepressant as well because I genuinely just love working with and helping animals.

It's definitely a lot of work tallying up to a total of over 15 hours before I even began to get paid but it is very rewarding plus I get to meet and interact with the most supportive people ever.

I will try to do a better job of selling my pet artworks in the future but for now I am focusing on the pet care services which help me sell artworks when I network.

Moral of the story:

You should always make an effort to invest time into yourself and your own success!

Anyways I hope you guys learned something about me and my process.

If I was able to help you in anyways please leave me some love and follow for more!

Much love to you all <3
