RE: Too Much of a Good Thing

Hmmm... I don't want to mess up with your personal decisions, or aspirations, but sometimes we push a "thing" because we think that WE HAVE to do it... I mean, I had similar situations like you... Had an idea about something, developed it in my head over and over again... Found some tiny tweaks that I can do down the road, but in the end, I didn't take any action... And that I felt guilty that I didn't do it, and in my second try I was PUSHING myself back to the "story" that wasn't mine anymore... I didn't feel that what I felt in the first place and pushing it didn't help at all... In the end, I had to let it go...

Instead, I was doing something completely different, took an action, built it, and enjoyed it in the process... So, who knows what is actually your "path", or the right way to proceed...

I'm not telling you what to do... You will do what you feel it's right, but don't be too hard with yourself... You are doing a great job whatever you are doing... That's the most important thing, as there is no wrong way if you are giving yourself into it...

Wish you the best, my friend... ;)

Thank you for your concern and your willingness to share it with me. You have given me something to consider. I am honored that you feel highly enough of me to share that with me.

Even though I have been working on my Family History business concept for several years, I don't feel like I "HAVE to do it". This is a passion of mine that I have had for decades and I feel there is an unfilled need in this area that I am in a unique position to take advantage of. I am noticing a convergence of people's understanding of technology, blockchain, and desire to know about our ancestors that I am still in the process of tying together. While it would probably be easier if I were not trying to do it by myself, I feel particularly qualified to create a program that serves this niche by providing a place to store family history information for free without the fear of losing your data. I have also have been working on a membership program concept to replace my employment for over two years.

I feel like there is some knowledge I needed for my business that I did not obtain until recently. I also have some additional research to do in order for my entire plan to come together. I just need to remain focused, reset my priorities, and do the work. If I can stay on track, I know this will all come together. I just need to take one step at a time and not give up.

Thank you so much for all your support.

You are right about the technology... Sometimes we are thinking in front of tech... Maybe blockchain will be the perfect solution for your project, and you couldn't do it earlier as you didn't have these possibilities that you have now... ;)

Good luck!!
