MARKET FRIDAY - VISIT TO THE BIGGEST TEXTILE HUB, 'MAMA IFEOMA TEXTILE HUB' IN ILORIN, KWARA STATE.
Hey lovelies 💕

On #marketfriday episode for this week, i went to the biggest textile hub in the state known as the 'Mama ifeoma textile hub' whereby textiles materials are sold, in fact you will find all kinds of textiles materials in this market and people come all across the state and outside the state to buy from this market. Fascinating clothes materials there weldone buddy #hivers
A lot of different stuff, you should be able to find what you are looking for!!
Absolutely, i did get the materials i want...thank you for your concern.
You have made a concerted effort of being here weekly! I can't tell you how much i appreciate that!
Many years ago, Nigeria was home to Africa's largest textile industry. They had just short of 200 mills that employed almost a half a million people. These mills have shut down, which is a tragedy because now these are imported. There were many reasons for this, but, I think Nigeria has made the transition. I think that is why I love to see these stores!
Copious amounts of fabric everywhere, in any color you can dream of! Mama ifeoma textile hub... just Google it! It pops right up! Oh, she is so loved by all! Did you and @dareey12 happen upon each other, or was it a planned meetup? Sometimes surprises are pretty cool! They have an unbelievable amount of fabric offered up, although I will say that my favorite is the more traditional fabrics that they use to make clothing. There is no picking a bad one! They are all amazing.
Which one is your favorite?
I love them all! It really surprised me, but, also delights me to know how much effort people put into it. It pointed out our differences in the beginning, but, then, it really started showing how many things our cultures share. When the day is done, it shows off how human we all are and how we basically all care about our families and others. I love the experience of it all. I appreciate the love and support given to #MarketFriday! Thank you! Truly! Your participation adds a piece of your world, and I have to say, people are interested in is seeing it. This entire challenge has opened up the world to me and so many others. Thank you again for being a part of all this! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Aww,...I'm wowed with your knowledge of Nigeria textiles. Kaduna in the northern part of Nigeria was the home to textile not only Africa but round the world, it used to employed about 10,000 workers in the years past but change in government and bad government decisions has paralyzed this totally.
@dareey12 was a newbie i onboarded few days ago, i was quick to tel him about some initiatives here on hive, told him about #marketfriday, and its so funny to meet him at the 'mama ifeoma textile hub' just for the same reasons with mine.
I so much love our local culture also fabrics, just like the Europeans love their suites and jacket, thats why i do go to market time to time to get fabrics especially when i have occasion to attend.
Sorry the picture has to be slant
#marketfriday is a great initiative, infact its one i don't want to miss, i learn from other people's culture too.
Congratulations for onboarding your friend! Teach him right! :)
This initiative has taught me much about other cultures! That is one of the reasons i know somuch about Nigeria!

@olaunlimited, as really done a lot in enlightening me about lots of fascinating things #hive platform initiative offers after I was onboard and one of the community he like so much is the #marketfriday, because of the opportunities it afford him to go round the different market we have around, which sometimes he might not necessarily go, and I am amaze when he was informing the different things he as seen in the different market.
However, even the Nigeria textile industry is nothing to write home about again compare to what it used to be in the time past which used to be one of the country major foreign exchange market, but I believe effort is been make by the present Nigeria government to totally revamp the sector. Hence the Nigeria central Bank as given textile farmers loans in other to revamp the cotton which will invariably bring life back to the textile industry.
But in light of that some individuals as took it upon themselves to import nice textile materials from abroad among them is mama ifeoma, hence I was only on a sight seeing by myself to see if I could participate in the #marktetfriday that I bumped up into my good friend @olaunlimuted, and we end up taking a picture together
That's awesome!! Cone join us on Friday!! Nice to meet you!
