YouTube Isn't Interested in Your Story, We Are! - IAAC Day 30
It has passed a whole month of creating these videos for #IAmAliveChallenge... I have started slowly with 2-3 min videos describing my day and showing that I am alive... As time was passing by, I have started to feel more and more alive... but in a different way...
After "securing the ground" the human brain starting to move faster... I wanted to give more value to my followers and decided to add some of my thoughts about my passion... And what is my passion? Well, you will have to find it out by watching, reading and following my channel... :)
Actually, that is exactly the topic of today's video... I Have made a comparison between YouTube and decentralized blockchain solutions as Hive and LBRY... Why is better for you to start creating videos (and blog posts in general) on the blockchain and not on Youtube? What do people like to watch on these blockchain platforms?
How is possible that people earning MORE on blockchain platforms where they have 100-1000 times fewer followers/subscribers?

The video is very natural, I had my mind in because of that music. I think this is a unique way of emphasizing creation of unique contents on unique platforms (decentralized solutions).

To be honest, I much rather create on the blockchain regardless of how much attention it may or may not get right now....
I would say that regardless that there is a potential of billion users on YT, you still have more engagement on the blockchain platform...

Each time I post something on youtube, I'm scared that somebody will find it to be against TOS and I will get a strike. Once I've posted a video about cointiply a website where you can earn coins for completing surveys and offers. I had made a landing page with this video and then Youtube blocked the video for a reason that I don't know yet. I made an appeal and they liberated it again without even informing me.
That's BS...
Just because that "feeling" you can't be fully free and creative as you would like to... Those "invisible limits" are even worse than if they are written...
I see a lot of people doing "copy/paste" material on YouTube... I don't mean literally copy/paste, but doing similar things that will bring "more attention" aka money... and limiting themselves to doing only videos that bring eyeballs and more money...
Actually, it's worse than here on Hive where you get "real money upvotes"... Really interesting thing... lol... You would think that here it will be more like that and it's the opposite...
I think that the main difference is that on the blockchain you can get "upvotes" from both sides of your story... And on YouTube you have only ONE side of the story, so you are losing all the "others"...
I hope I didn't confuse you too much... lol... my thoughts did that...

On Youtube to please the algorithms, everybody is doing exactly the same stuff. They all copy what is supposed to be successful and the results is that you have tons of videos of the same kind.
I had my daughter starting with her youtube channel (with a very limited audience). After a while she told me, there are only views on my videos when I make the same as the others...
This leads to a kind of commercial creativity that is looking for followers and likes and maybe in the long term for monetization.
What I like about platforms like hive or lbry is that you can create what you want and you might find people who like what you are doing without having to immitate the things that "work".
Youtube is interested on your personal data, we are not..

Actually, I don't think so... It's more the thing of FB... that's their part of a deal... YT is more taking over the classic TV duty... To wash-out people's brains with the same narrative all over the place...
In the end... We ALL have to "THINK" the same... that's the point... listen to the rulers, obey, and don't think...
Great video, Zoltan! I really appreciate the lack of censorship on the blockchain. And the lack of ads. The other morning I was exercising with a video on YouTube and it got interrupted with an ad. That has happened more than once. It will be nice when more people get that this is a much more user friendly for everyone place to create content.
I think that slowly this blockchain movement is getting forward.. there are more and more "alternative" platforms for everyone... And they are getting better and better... so, we have a chance... 🙂
We have more opportunity on the blockchain-based platform than a centralized platform. It would be awesome if crypto price does not fluctuate that much.
That will come... I mean at price fluctuation... On the other side, in times of crisis, a lot of the markets are volatile... look at the oil price just a few days ago... It's just a normal thing for these crazy times...
