@russellstockley and a few others got their accounts hacked and emptied of liquid funds from a malicious Facebook link, so be careful.

I am still perplexed
I followed this link in my Notifications at Facebook

This took me to a facebook page where I made a comment about how unscrupolous the link in the post looked.
That was it,
No enetering of keys, no saving of keys in my browser no keeping keys on Computer etc.

I use Keychain as my main tool.

All i can think is that they have a whole bunch of keys and they are confirming you are the owner with the facebook post ??

Anyway, lesson well learnt

I have changed all my keys, all my master passwords and my keychain password and will be monitoring very very closely.

I will be regularly changing my password and keys :)

Thanks to you and the community to alerting me to this, as I was sound asleep blissfully unawares

Good points on protecting your keys Erik. I only use keychain for everything but I do need to be in the habit of changing my keys more often. After the events that happened today I will be very mindful of everything going on in my account, not that I don't pay attention now, but this drives the point even harder.

It's very important to take care well of your keys but it's also important to take care where you log in with your keys...

Thanks for explaining the usage of every specific key... Also, staking is a kind of protection from hackers, as they can't get those funds fast...

In hive blockchain, we have keys. Knowing which key should be used for what is a must. Thank you @flaxz for explaining these keys and how to use them to secure our hive account.

Yes definitely great advice and the first thing that I learnt, though I still don't think that it will matter too much in the end, after all, this is a whole hive of genius techno developers/programmers is it not....
