Liquid Drum & Bass - Monaco - What Do You Want From Me? (Nicky Havey Remix)

Followers on my Hive blog asked for more Drum & Bass and so I shall serve some more Drum & Bass for you today - I got you guys and girls covered don't worry! I was browsing through my Soundcloud page earlier as it's where the journey of my own music productions started 10 years ago and I saw I had surpassed 41,000 plays which is no small feat for a bloke who just does this in his spare time (which is very limited)! I remember celebrating 30,000 plays with the track I'm about to share today and so seems right to celebrate another milestone on Soundcloud with that remix I made of Monaco's What Do You Want From Me?

I remember hearing the original back in the 90s and it was my go to track for listening to for comfort after a few relationships ended where I'd be left wondering "what the hell happened?" Fast forward to 2018, 21 years after the original and I discovered this one again but was curious to see if there was a Drum & Bass version out there - you know, give the others a 21 year head start haha! There still wasn't and so I thought, I might as well be the first and pop it up on my Soundcloud for a free download! It looks like it is one of my more popular tracks on Soundcloud too being my 8th most played tracks with 835 streams and 46 downloads, I'll take that as a little victory! However, I have discovered there was a "UK Version" of the video based around the casino which can be seen here which is a little more sordid. Although Monaco went on to release one album, What Do You Want From Me was the most popular reaching number 11 in the UK charts and achieved other chart success in US and Canada - you can read more about the track here if you wanted! The track also appeared on the popular UK prank show from the 90s that every kid growing up would remember called "Trigger Happy TV" in Episode 2 Series 1 - well worth a watch, some of these are classic sketches and a little bit "out there"! Anyway, if you fancy singing along, the lyrics are at the end and as they appear in the remix (not the original)!
