@jeanlucsr, to be honest I appreciate a meaningful comment on my post more because that means that the person who made that comment took the time and energy to read my post and/or watch my video in order to make that comment. It is actual engagement with my content. Since I have been on Hive and CTPtalk I have gotten more engagement than I ever did on centralized social media.

Glad to hear @lisamgentile1961. Especially with meaningful comments on videos, I really appreciate it as well. Also good to hear that engagement here is more than on centralized social media.

Hello @jeanlucsr! I do have to admit that when I put a FB live out the engagement increases but still doesn't reach the level that I get here on Hive! And I am not getting pitched with opportunities right and left here which I love! It's genuine community engagement. Enjoy your Wednesday!😀

I think it is the way the network is set up. FB traditionally has a friends and family vibe, which is great if you want to share something like a personal achievement that is valued among the general crowd.

Hive however allows people with similar interests to connect. It can become a little tribe-like, but if that allows you to connect with same-minded people all over the world, why not?

That's exactly the way I see it, @jeanlucsr! There are FB groups for interests but it doesn't have the same feeling as the Hive community. I notice that when I look at the communities on PeakD for instance, you follow your interests and there aren't a bunch of rules listed. It's more open and I haven't run across any negativity even wtihout rules.
Have a great weekend. 😀

I would value B) A meaningful comment on my post. After all without any feedback, how can you get better. We need more comments going on in HIVE.

Totally agree. That's why I'm posting this question. Hopefully, it triggers me to comment more on other people's posts as well. Without needing an incentive.

Both .

A meaningful comment is awesome , its give more engagement , more value to hive community but with quality reward , the writer will get more motivation to continue writing and learning .

Valid point. I guess both provide value indeed.

That's why I'm wondering, which is worth more. But, it of course differs per person.
