"Myths" that Turned Out to be True

(Edited)

If these "myths" can turn out to be true then I still have hope that the Greek story of Talos had some reality and that such an automaton did exist. That would prove robots with AI can exist and not want to take over the world.

So it's a story 2,700 years old 😀

At least that old. It could have borrowed from parts of other stories like how Plato wrote about Atlantis based on things he heard that were passed down. Copyright law didn't exist back then so attribution was much more of a voluntary thing.

Yeah, and that story if Atlantis is an odd story indeed.

According to history.com:

Plato's Critias says he heard the story of Atlantis from his grandfather, who had heard it from the Athenian statesman Solon (300 years before Plato's time), who had learned it from an Egyptian priest, who said it had happened 9,000 years before that.

So an Egyptian priest is as far as the account goes but according to the Egyptian priest there's still a 9000 year gap between the fall of Atlantis and the priest learning the story.
