The rewards are a pretty cool feature. The downside to people thinking about the rewards is they somehow act as if Hive is useless when it's down in price.
Those kinds of accounts on FB are not free from my understanding of it, they are business accounts and pay some sort of revenue or revenue sharing with FB.
In case @chrisricestill does not understand it, he is outside the 99.7% of the population by being assigned "outside of three standard deviations", which means that he is part of the 0.3%. π
It means that you are at the 0.3% of the population. π€¨ Even a quick online search will reveal that, but I assume that you would just tell me that you have more important things to do. π
Hope that you would be able to delegate some of your tasks to other people that you can trust. π€ What comes first comes to my mind whenever I see your name on Hive is that you are too busy. π€¨
The sooner you get that candidate to start working for you, the sooner you can have more free time (and probably that person gets a good source of income). π€
no matter what they say, it's always about the #rewards.
Only if you are starving in some third world country. The odds at first are super stacked against you, then even if you happen to find a couple four, five people who blog on a consistent basis, may like your style or you like theirs the rewards are miniscule in any attempt to want to think you are getting anywhere fast. lol. You'd literally have to pump out stuff 24/7, 7 days a week....and then a lot also depends upon, since most people auto vote, that vote is usually is set to once a day, that knocks the equation out of sitting here writing non stop all day long, seven days a week to get anywhere.
PS....here's a penny for you, I give it with a lot of pride, it took me forever to get that far....lol.
That doesn't mean it's all about the rewards, some could just post here because it more censorship resistant. Maybe some like myself come to enjoy the platform's different offerings, opinions, people, but monetarily I don't see it as ever unfolding as an income source, maybe about the time they are going to stick me in a grave somewhere, it may pay some of the funeral cost.
There was some big theft through Binance in the US, now they are calling for regulations on cypto's here. I think for me that's the number one reason I don't learn about investing in cypto's, there are just not regulated enough to safe guard people's accounts. I also don't understand how they can steal millions from investors and disappear with open source, or so called open sourced technology. If everything is open then you should be able to see who steals your stuff, why can't they get it back or why can't Binance take it back...just doesn't make sense.
wen
Wen indeed.

People are blindsided by the rewards.
I sometimes wonder if they realise theyβd make much more money elsewhere.

If somewhere else is FB than no. lol.
You laugh, but a number of folks make a living with at least 4-digits a month doing random bs on FB, Instagram, etc.
Normal users just can't see the checks being written to them, or disagree with their bs.

Doesn't matter. The point is you can make money. You just have to go through more loops. And probably have to shitpost better than most people here.

Wen?
The distant future, the year 2000.

Now that was a good TV series!

I was trying to find a hat tip meme/gif but no luck :(
It's okay.

I don't agree about that being true for everyone.
My #1 interest in #HIVE is it's utility for:

You are certainly outside the 3 standard deviations of people then.

What's the "three standard deviations"?

Thank you @savvyplayer, I saw your comment before the image loaded, and it helped me understand it right away π

Well, I do as much as I can, and try to cram in as much effort into my waking hours as I can as well π

Yeah, and I have a candidate already for who that will be.

Yes & yes.

If you get new tasks, hope you get new people to trust and delegate your tasks to. π€
There aims a mix of people
Everyone that their motive, untimely no one would deny the reward. Itβs a passive income
It's a nice bonus that most people have assigned it as core income.

Well, if you look at the stats for Hive.Blog from here: https://peakd.com/hive-133987/@blocktrades/some-cloudflare-stats-for-hive-blog.
I would say, it's a fair amount of people.

Some like yourself are in the extreme minority.
