What's the explanation? In most of the cases of UTI, the bacteria ascend from outside to the bladder through the urethra. Very less portion via blood.

I don't know the science behind it, but I imagine not enough water i.e. dehydratiom from drinking sugary drinks like #Coke leads to more bacteria in the urine.

Not sure though, but unlike the US, UTI's are super cool here, even in children.
