Everyday lot's of things happen in our life. End of the day, we forget everything, but some incidents are unforgettable. It can be the conversation of two wise people or maybe the thoughts of people we loved those memories & love to share them with others. Today I am going to share a conversation between a mother & her daughter.

It was Friday; I was planning to do some shopping. Rightly so I went to Dhaka New Market for the shopping. I got down from the bus & started walking through the footpath. I had to cross the road as the supermarket was on the opposite side of the road. The traffic warden was standing right beside me, holding the red flag with his right hand. He was continually whistling & that's how he was controlling the traffic. Suddenly I realized that a cute little girl with her mother was also standing beside me. We crossed the road together, and after that, I went shopping.

I was a bit tired, I badly needed a coffee & some snacks to regain my energy. I was looking for a coffee shop, suddenly saw one name "Cafe Alfrencho", Without wasting time, I entered the coffee shop and sat in a corner. I suddenly noticed that the little girl and mother I crossed the road with were seated at the table next to me. The little girl suddenly started shouting, pointing at me, 'Mom, look there's the brother who crossed the road with us also sitting next to us. The girl's mother calmed the girl down. I also order Sharma and coffee without delay! It took 10 minutes for food and coffee to come. It didn't take long to eat the Sharma, then I was drinking coffee and lost in the world for a moment.

Suddenly, I heard something: it was a poor old guy asking for help. I pulled my wallet from my pocket & gave him some money. The poor guy also asked for some money from the little girl's mother. Then the poor guy left. I saw that little girl overseeing everything. Then this happens:

Little Girl: Mom, why is this man asking money from you?
Mother: Because he is poor.
Little Girl: Why is he poor??
Mother: Because he has no money!
Little Girl: Why he doesn't have money?
Her mother stared at her & tried to stop her with an angry look. But she failed, the little girl asked the same question again & again. And finally, her mother replied, but she had no idea what was coming.
Mother: Because he is helpless!
Little Girl: Mom, so who are poor, helpless they take money from others??
Mother: Yes!
Little Girl: Mother, my father also asked for money from other people. Does that mean he is also helpless & needy?
Her mother literally thundered!!! She didn't know what to say!

I was observing the whole incident & I was surprised to see the curiosity of that "cute little girl. Eventually, I was waiting for the reply or the reaction of her mother. The reply was "she was smiling looking at her daughter's face." I didn't know why but I was happy. I paid the bill left the cafe.

Best not to lie to a child. They are curious enough to ask daring questions. I found the story a bit funny when the girl likened her father to the poor man. That must have been a shocker for her mother

I agree with you, mate! We should always tell the truth to the children! The thing is, I love the way the mother answered all those questions without getting irritated & lastly, the smile, I will never forget the smile.
