MY BEAUTIFUL MATE

Wow, I will be turning 18 in few hours, Celine exclaimed as she just couldn't find sleep.

The thought of meeting her mate became the topic throughout these few days as her parents won't stop reminding her that she will soon be ripe enough to join others in the festive moon period.

The period where all those who turned eighteen years and above who are not yet mated attend to find their mate.

Celine could not sleep anymore as she began to count the ticking of the clock till she did not realize it was dawn.

She woke up but feeling weak, as she could not get enough sleep throughout the night thinking about what the day holds in stuck for her. She just wished that today was her school days but unlucky for her, it was the day of the moon festival where she would be pushed to dress up for the day.

She just couldn't go downstairs as she could hear her parents voice, she most days wished she could find a mate as loving as her father but for the past two years, she has seen and heard so many dreading news about the mating ceremony and how most ladies we're forcefully taken from their family by there mates most especially when the girls were unfortunately mated to a son of a King who is an Alpha who will one day become an Alpha too.

Celine was not ready to face her parents yet as she knew they would not let her be but she knew when it was time for the ceremony to begin, they would be waiting for her to come downstairs. She knew she's got no other option than to prepare for the day but she wasn't going to have it their way.

She decided to stand up and stop carrying a sad face like she was grieving for her lost one. She went to her wardrobe to search for something to wear even though she knew that there was nothing fancy in her old crooked wardrobe.

Her wardrobe consisted of her old jeans trouser, black hoods, and the rest of the clothing that doesn't fit such a ceremony neither did she have a lady-like cloth in her wardrobe.

Her parents have so many times reminded her that she was still a lady due to her dressing code even though she was their only child.

Celine had all the money she needed to get herself beautiful and exuberant dresses but she never really liked spending her father's money, instead, she took to being a library attendant in one of her packs libraries.

Celine got dressed in one of her black baggy pants with a flowery crop top and black sneakers to match with.

She packed her hair in a bun style, used some light powder on her face and a little lip gloss on her lip. Although she was dressed casually, she looked so beautiful.

She walked down the stairs only to meet her parent's unhappy faces because they were already behind time because of her.

Their stare looked from gloomy to surprised because they were not expecting their daughter to dress in such a manner on an important occasion ss this even though they knew she never liked this ceremony but she has got no option other than to do it because it is their tradition.

Her parents tried to persuade her to go home and change but it all turned abortive and they knew if they continue, their daughter will go upstairs to her room and never come to her until the end of the ceremony so they kept quiet and allowed her to dress the way she wished.

The hall was a big all and the worst of my nightmare. Smelling of smokes mix with the thousands of people sweats who came out here tonight to find their mate.

She just wasn't cut out for the ceremony, so she decided to make herself busy by checking out the rooms in the hall. As she kept on admiring the beauty of the hall, her nose kept drifting to a particular smell she was enticed with.

As Celine turned eighteen, so many things took place in her life, like a strong sense of smell, and her hearing aid was heightened that she could hear voices as far as another pack.

This is what she knew about from her parents and was experiencing them as she stood afar from the crowd but the scent that was drifting to her nose was distracting her from hearing.

Her wolf made her wolf very fast that she did not realize she was across the street away from the ceremony in the library she worked as a librarian.

Her wolf kept pushing her ss the smell became more intoxicating that she felt like drowning herself in it. As she moved with pace, she did not know how she collided with a strong wall in front of her and fell to the ground. Also, she thought it was a wall but she then realized with wasn't a wall but the back of a man.

The most handsome man I have ever come across, as I tried to get back on my feet, I couldn't because I was becoming weak, all I could hear and feel was my wolf yelping for joy and singing sweetly into my ears of finding her mate. I could not make out what the man in front of me was saying but my intuition told me he was calling me his mate and before I knew what was happening my sight became blur as I began to drift to sleep as I wish all that was happening in front of me would go away when I am finally awake.

I woke up when I felt someone lifting my head into his strong hands and trying to wake me up and when I looked up behold I was enticed no just with his scent but with his beautiful blue eye as I heard my voice say to him in a husky voice; My Mate
