During a morning walk today, I started reflecting on my life a bit & made a decision that was a turning point for me. Deciding to let go of mainstream social media was a big step in the adaptation of decentralized systems in my every day life.
I posted a short video on Facebook & Instagram explaining what my intentions were. As I pressed the “send” button, there was no turning back. The process was in motion & I knew I was in alignment with my true self; taking back my power & supporting platforms that would not silence my truth or try to keep me “stuck” in the matrix world we live in.
I have #HIVE to thank for that. Here, I talk about that & why it’s crucial, now more than ever, to show up for our community & take our power back so we can show the world who we are.

It's like decoupling Bitcoin (and crypto in general) from the standard stock (forex) markets... The same thing is choosing the side between centralized and decentralized social media networks...
I don't like to pick asides, but in a certain period of time, we have to make a choice... And I would say that we have a choice right now, at this very moment...
We are choosing between the PAST (FB, Insta, YT...) and the FUTURE (decentralized platforms, freedom of speech...)... And I'm sure that we don't want to live in a past... :)

Yes, exactly. Even though I am still in a transitional period between centralized & decentralized systems, I know in my heart that I will be at least 90% in the decentralized world after some time. It's becoming evidently clear that this is the best direction to go in, especially with the way the world is at the moment. I appreciate & honor the past for everything it has taught me & given to me, but it's time to move forward for new inspiration & direction.

Yes, it's been an amazing journey so far & I have been loving every minute of it, even the struggles. :) We are all better versions of ourselves because of Hive. I think the process is more important than the end goal, actually.

It is amazing how community can be very like minded or maybe we just find ourselves in like minded communities, but all I can say is sort of Snap :)
Whilst I still have all my mainstream social media accounts, I seldom use them anymore - unless it is to gain traction for hive. It is indeed a big decision to make and I commend you for being brave enough to do that!

I really liked your video Jenn. I can confirmed what you realized about the difference between the vibes on tradtional social media and Hive. Because of the nature how this blockchain works, people don't feel the need to critizise others and try to be the loudest voice in the forest. It's different on Hive. People care for each other, help each other. It brings out the best in us and that is what makes Hive so special!
