Congratulations, @fiberfrau!

Well, I suppose that fence had more than one reason to be there... to stop grave robbers? to stop ghosts leaving the site?

Because so many people were dying to get in that the town was becoming a ghost town... ?

Congratulations to @fiberfrau! :)

Among the great answers @ph1102 gave (which I agree with), the fencing also defines the space for the dead. It was believed they deserved to have a space of their own so this is a symbolic reason why this was done, in addition to the practical ones.

congrats @fiberfrau
Either to define the area for the dead, or because people are dying to get in..

Congratulations @fiberfrau for the win

The reason for the fencing around cemeteries is to literally define the area as a place for the dead. And people are dying to get in

Congrats on beating the ghost today Kimberly

They put high fences around cemeteries to keep people out because they are dying to get in.
