The Man Elon Musk

When people hear the names Elon Musk the first thing that pops is fast electric cars and wealth. He is an engineer, industrial designer and business tycoon, a centibillioniare and also the second richest person on earth currently. For most people they assume he probably made his wealth through luck or from Tesla Inc, Elon was not even born on the soil of America but rather South Africa on Pretoria. He learned computer programming using a manual at a very young age, I was probably still playing with you cars then, Elon had interest in computing since the age of 10. I am sure you are beginning to wonder the correlation between computer programming and the electric cars we know him for.

It is safe to say he built his wealth from computer and coding, selling the code of a BASIC-based video game he created Blastar to PC and office technology magazine for approximately 500 dollars at age 12. Funny but most of us were selling lemonades on the corner of our streets then, not to make you feel bad but just to help you understand how far he has come. When he started a web software company with his brother they struggled and could only afford one computer before the business eventually became a success. He also co-founded X.com an online financial services company that was later merged with PayPal.

Many times he was rejected as being inexperienced, and this drove him to create companies that are doing absolutely great today. One major example is Space X, a company that was founded after a Russian chief designer called Elon a novice in his attempt to buy missiles. He went on to start Space X in an effort to build affordable rockets. After three failed attempts, Falcon 1 was built in 2008 and it was the first private liquid-fuel rocket to reach earth's orbit. Today Space X has launched lots and lots of space projects and worths billions.

The famous Tesla which we know him for was not even his idea, he became a co-founder in 2009, 6 years after Tesla Inc was created. Musk joined the company as it's chairman and as of 2019 he is the longest tenured CEO of any automotive manufacturer in the world. As of March 2020, Tesla is the world's bestselling electric car, a fact no one can dispute. Under Musk's direction Tesla Inc has really rosen to heights that the initial founders never thought it could. My favorite business of his is The Boring Company, quite confusing name because nothing about the company is boring.

The Boring Company aims to build tunnels that are massive, safe, fast-to-dig i.e create low cost transportation and also solve traffic issues in LA. While the whole idea started as a joke it sure has risen to be more than just a joke but also the future of transportation in the world. Musk has proven to be a very creative and innovative man. He also co-founded a company called Neuralink with the aim of integrating the human brain with Artificial intelligence.

While many people laugh at his ideas, most of them have indeed laughed back at them and with his level of brilliance will continue to laugh back. Although his tweets has started lawsuits in the business world and in the crypto world , the latest example being doge coin which also started as a joke, we won't be seeing the end of him just yet because his ideas and innovations are definitely something to look out for now and in the nearest future.
