5 Reasons Why I Need to Make Money

Dear Hivers

When you read something it kinda takes you aback. And it feels as if it’s wrong to accumulate money at all! Some authors have even argued that the LACK of money is the problem of all the evil, because then people will steal and kill just to get money.

I need to make money!

I said that I NEED to. Why? Because nobody else will provide money for me. Gone are the days when I would just ask some money from my parents. True, they supported me when I was a child, when I went to school, and when I hadn’t found work yet.

As all living things, I grew up, graduated from College, and eventually landed a job. One of the marks of a truly mature person is the ability to look out financially for oneself.

Here are additional reasons why I need to make money.

Indian rupees

I need to pay for my bills.
Contemporary life is complicated. While growing up in our province, my parents grew vegetables in our home garden, we had a water pump in our yard, and a lot of things were free! But as I moved into the city, I now have to pay for a lot of things — electricity, water, phone, internet, and the rent of my apartment, among many things!

If I don’t pay my bills, I may end up becoming a homeless person, and the collection agencies of these utility companies will be after me. Scary thought!

I am a part-time breadwinner and I’m paying for my brother’s College education.
You need to understand that in the india, eldest children are expected to help in the family expenses. In this case, the biggest family expense is the college education of my youngest brother (who is 11 years younger than I am). He stays at our house. He eats here. I’m the one who gives him allowance, and I even pay for part of his college tuition fee.

It’s an expensive affair. But as a good older brother, it is my responsibility to help him go through his education. Thankfully, God provides enough financial blessings that help us get through month after month.

My first baby is on the way and I need to prepare for the future.
I remember the first time I heard that I’ll be a daddy soon! Overjoyed would be an understatement. We waited for almost a year. And now that it’s here, I really felt good.

When the dust of excitement settled, though, I felt nervous. We’ll need to buy diapers, a crib, a stroller, milk, and medicine and supplements for our baby. And I need money for all those!

I want a soothing life for my family.
Of course, as a husband and soon-to-be-daddy, I want to be a good provider and a good daddy. And so I need money for that! Again!

We can’t do away with money, given all the requirements of city life these days. One thing I’m pretty sure, though. I’m in love with my wife and not with money. For if I fall in love with money and spend too much time chasing after it, I just might end up unhappy.

Hello @adityajainxds
Life in the city is more expensive than in towns, it is a reality. I have always lived in the city and when I know the costs in the towns of the same things I pay in the city there are big differences.
However, I like the city, but I also like the towns, and not necessarily because of the low cost of living.
Money is important, really very important. But, you have to be smart to get it.
Congratulations on your family.
Happy New Year.
Being the big brother can be stinky, but, it's not something we choose.

You have a very reasonable and mature approach. The need to support yourself and family as a mature adult. My reason for needing to make money is the desire to contribute to our household finances as an equal partner to my husband. It is just the two of us but next year we will be living with my Dad and sharing expenses with him so he can stay in his house and not have to spend all his money in an assisted living facility. So like you, it is about making enough to support ourselves and a bit extra to be comfortable.

I am happy for you in taking on the role of provider for your family. Also in helping out your younger brother. In 2013 my husband passed away so now I am sole provider for what is left of my family, which is myself and my youngest son. I believe that we are all here doing our best to make money and care for our loved ones. May you have great successful in the New Year 2021. Congratulations on the soon to be birth of your child.
