[ESP | ENG] Mi travesía por el Parque Waraira Repano (Caracas, Venezuela) | My journey through Waraira Repano Park (Caracas, Venezuela)
Saludos a toda la comunidad de Hive. Hace un par de años, en uno de esos tantos viajes que hice a la ciudad de Caracas , visite este hermoso y turístico sitio, el Parque Waraira Repano, también conocido como Parque el Ávila, que se encuentra ubicado en el cerro el Ávila ,de allí su nombre.
Greetings to all the Hive community. A couple of years ago, in one of those many trips I made to the city of Caracas, I visited this beautiful and touristic place, the Waraira Repano Park, also known as Avila Park, which is located on the Avila hill, hence its name.
Para subir al parque, hay varias maneras: desde subir por los diferentes camineras y atajos, en automóvil (por el Famoso Pueblo de Galipán), o mediante el Teleférico, cuyo lugar de embarque se llama Maripérez. Mi familia y yo subimos en este, que nos lleva directo al Hotel Humboldt, a mí me dio un poco de miedo por la altura, porque no estoy acostumbrada a realizar este tipo de actividades. Al llegar allí nos encontramos con un clima de montaña muy fresco y agradable.
There are several ways to go up to the park: from the different trails and shortcuts, by car (through the famous town of Galipán), or by cable car, whose boarding point is called Maripérez. My family and I went up in this one, which takes us directly to the Hotel Humboldt, I was a little scared because of the altitude, because I am not used to this kind of activities. When we got there we found a very cool and pleasant mountain climate.
Cuenta con áreas recreativas .En el tiempo que fui, contaba con una pista de hielo ,en el cual disfrute de unos minutos de patinada y fue muy chistoso porque me caía cada rato. También hay restaurantes y kioscos los cuales te ofrecen variedad de platos dulces típicos, artesanía y flores que cultivan en el pueblito de Galipán. Este parque tiene una vista maravillosa, se ve toda la ciudad de Caracas. Y a la hora de recomendar un sitio para conocer, hacer deporte o un rato de relax, los invito a visitarlo. Se los recomiendo.
It has recreational areas. At the time I went, there was an ice rink, where I enjoyed a few minutes of skating and it was very funny because I was falling all the time. There are also restaurants and kiosks which offer a variety of typical sweet dishes, handicrafts and flowers grown in the village of Galipán. This park has a wonderful view, you can see the whole city of Caracas. And when it comes to recommending a place to visit, to do sports or to relax, I invite you to visit it. I recommend it.
