I took a step back from posting the last couple of days not because I had nothing to write about, but because I felt the need to observe a bit better. What you may be wondering...

...well, I needed to digest our accomplishment. Anyone could have initiated a fork and create their own project. Anyone with the right skills of course. Or should I say a group of people with the right skills? Yea, that.

They still can. An individual or a group of skilled devs whose expectations are yet to be met could fork Hive / or Steem and create something completely different. What would remain the same is the technology.

Technology alone isn't enough to make a project successful...Justin will find this out....the hard way...

All I can say is that I had zero expectations when Hive went live. Absolutely zero. Technology alone without a strong community to back it up might be nothing, yet Steem had the name...whatever name that was..

We've achieved a shit ton of things by being united...and vocal, especially on Twitter. Hive went viral.

In less than a month Hive is being listed in almost 10 different exchanges, for free, and even has direct USDT / USD pair on the biggest ones of them.

Half if not more of the project that once were built on Steem have already migrate on Hive and many more are about to the following days / weeks.

But the thing is that...I don't want people to remember or treat Hive as Steem's fork. I mean we forked Steem...ya...but we need to make ourselves a name so big that nobody will remember that we used to be Steem's fork. Sounds like a curse...

We should let all the Steem shit behind, keep moving forward just like we do now and make sure that Hive keeps buzzing all over the Internet.

Hive deserves to be among the top ten coins if you ask me. And I am not saying this because I am invested in HIVE.

But because there's literally nothing a human mind can think of that can't be built on top of this chain...

...couple that with this amazing community that has been through so much shit on Steem those years, and you have all necessary elements for a super successful crypto project.

But before this we need to give reasons and ideas to those who can build that this is the right place for them to do so.

So my question is...

What kind of app, you would like to see being built exclusively on Hive?

What could be the missing piece of the puzzle...one that would become a huge success? One that average users would have no other choice but to use and be "addicted" to?

Let's talk and brainstorm...who knows a dev could pick up an idea from the comments and begin working on something great...

Worst case scenario? Nothing comes out of this and we repeat the same procedure...next week.

Damn, I was supposed to write a 50 word post asking a simple question...but it ended up being longer than I thought.

Have a good one peeps...and stay safe.

Cheers.

Social Platforms as twitter are more used than blogging platforms.
That's why I don't think we have to limit ourselves only on quality posts.

Ya, that quality thing...starts getting boring...

Not that people should post crap and expect any kind of rewards. It's just that when you really start having fun and enjoy what you do "quality" comes naturally

I've been sharing some of my thoughts recently about the way to move the social aspect of this blockchain forward. Asides that I do want the dapp era back. I want to do other things to earn steem asides writing. It is fun that way.

I will go for games as the next big thing for hive. Imagine hive being the official gaming currency for a game like Fortnite. Those are the type of moves I want to see. More use case(s) for the token

Gaming could definitely e the game changer bud. I mean what the heck? Everyone is enjoying games every now and then.

It could go wild...

All of the above!
For real.
Honestly I have no idea of what it would take to make it happen technically, but the truth is, we already have all the pieces and the foundation here.
I see all of the media spaces in one app.
Menus down the side for a Buzzer-(twitter), Hive-book, Hive.blog, Buzzvideo, streaming, music gaming, different front ends with their own nuances -PeakD,Esteem, users can switch back and forth (I know I do), tabs for communities, and users can choose their preferences for each through communities, following, upvoting, their community trending, for each medium, as well as market places, exchange and investment, wallets, services, there really is no limit. User-centric and interest driven, regardless of what that means, intuitive would be helpful for adoption, but decentralized based on trustless analytics.
Just thinking through my keyboard, my .02 Hive worth.
Peace

A Quora, or Wikipedia. An app that can bring more people where they can share their thoughts and not come here only for money.

An Amazon-like marketplace that accepts Hive and HBD (and SMTs when they finally arrive).
