Job rejection...

Early this year I was at what I would call a defining point. I got a job and tried to plan the next of my life on a $60 monthly payment.

During this time I was willing to do almost anything for some extra money. Well, anything legal and decent. So, although I worked for 10hours every day, including the weekends, I tried to get some extra jobs to keep my head above water.

So, I did a lot of writing for very little pay. It was sustainable at the time.

During this time I was contacted for what would have been my most tasking jobs. I was a book edit and in the goodness of its heart, I only charged the lady $100. The price was too fair for the volume of work but I needed the money.

The lady grumbled and complained but eventually agreed to pay me. Along the line, she changed her mind and decided to not need my service anymore.

I felt heartbroken but I figured I would still survive regardless. And I did.

Things changed and my finances took a turn after that period and well, I quit my job and the long story.

Recently, I got contacted by the same lady complaining that she gave the job to someone else and didn't get what she wanted so she needed my services again.

However, she came back with a bigger book and a need for a reduction for a price below $100. I listened to her offer and decided I had to reject it.

My friend who made the connection felt sad because I intended on giving her a cut from my pay but I can't back down now.

Asides from the fact that the lady makes it obvious she has to respect for my craft, she has no respect for me and my time.

This lady came to me with the background story of being a pastor hoping it would make me give her a tad bit more regard as a client. However, now I can't even stand the thought of her.

I've had an extremely busy schedule over the past few months. A time-consuming job worth $100 or less will be extremely stressful to me.

Although the money involved is kind of attractive, not because I haven't earned that in 24 hours but because I have the drive to gather as much money as I can. However, now the case is different. I'm busy and my extra time is golden.

I wrote it A1 French DELF exams today. It's the first official stage of French understanding. It was pretty easy so I guess I'll be beginning my A2 classes next week.

I'm getting pretty good at understanding. Still have a kit to learn, but I see a lot of improvement in myself and that to me is very important.

It can be really tiring when you have a client with such attitude. Lying to be a pastor isn't necessary to get a discount.

This is where most people mix religion with other aspect of life.

Wish you luck I'm your A1 Exam.
