How much change are we expecting from the world?

I've been reading in a lot of places about the metaverse. Last week I had a conversation with a friend of mine about Virtual Reality and now I'm convinced that our disagreement might actually be in his favour.

While I think about how cool it would be to have social media where I could physically interact with another person, I keep wondering about the other aspects of life that will improve to meet up this improvement.

Sales still have to be made. So, while we have an improvement in social media and virtual interaction, we're bound to see an improvement in adverts. An improvement in adverts means an improvement in data use and acquisition.

How much more of our data will companies like Facebook have access to? They are currently the leading company in the development of the metaverse. I have a lot of questions.

Then, I was given a sketchy explanation of web 3.0 as I hardly have the time to delve properly into a lot of these details. Would web 3.0 be developed alongside the metaverse? And will they work side by side?

If that's the case then there will be no need to worry about data theft. What then would Facebook have to gain since we know a majority of their worth comes from data theft?

The main reason my friend and I had the disagreement was due to the fact that he believes strongly that VR could take over reality as we know it. I still think his idea of taking away physical feelings and replacing them with virtual reality is far fetched.

I mean, how much fun would it be having sex in a VR? Can your physical body actually eventually gain nourishment through a VR? It seems absurd.

Yet, about a week ago I read that a company created VR shoes that can only be seen when wearing special glasses. Are we gradually getting into that phase of reality or a 'lack' or reality?

VR intrigues me. Would it ever be possible to replace the physical with the virtual? I guess the world is getting ready to impress me and I'm open to be impressed.

You can’t replace physical with virtual but they can co exist. Just like web3 and the metaverse will. Long and short of web3 is ownership and other things, this ownership gives you access to sharing in the success of the growth of where you spend your time online. Combining this with activities within the virtual world brings about the merging of both. For Facebook, this is where we will see the diem coin come to play, it will probably extend the activities of the operation in virtual reality activities and make it rewarding, bringing them to the web3, but it won’t have the freedom of web3 since it is a centralized company.

If you know the amount of people that indulge in live cam pornography then you’d know that VR sex will be crazy hot. But it’s def not better than physical
