Exposure for New users is possible through Engagement: My Story!

avatar

As at March 2029, I was not a known content creator in the @Leofionance community although I had started building some insignificant stake of the token. For several weeks my posts paid out as $LEO 0.05 and it was very disheartening. Having understood how crucial engagement could bring a new user to the eyes of whale curators, I decided to take-on the engagement tools.

I remember that in one of the days, I was able to make over 100 comments. I literally did no other posts for the day. This was because I felt that my content was not good enough. Spending time in their comments section was to glean knowledge of what others had to say. DOint his was not without the sacrifice of spending some good time in reading the entire post as well as the comments.

Amazingly, I started getting to the eyes of some good writers and curators then. I was consistent with the engagement and did set a minimum daily target of 50 comments per day on Leofinance posts. This made me to drop a comment on almost every post in the community and some had more than one as there were follow-up replies under each comments.

To be able to stay on course during an engagement game, questions would be a great way to spice a deep and long discussion underneath. Some good authors would make attempt to answer questions in their comments section as well as other knowledgeable commenters. When more than one tier of comment is achieved, it helps to show the interest of the new user and this may attract some more attention.

Along the line, I discovered that there was a bot that was upvoting every comment posted via the then steemleo.com interface. The value was about 0.025 and it seems like that account was @leo.voter. With the comments rewards, I was able to draw close to 20 LEO daily as opposed to my lengthy posts that never earned as much as 1 LEO.

Don't Get lost on the crowd!

There are hundreds and thousands of posts in the communities and the entire Hive blockchain. This makes it easier for a new user to get lost. Till now, some posts are still lost even when posted through communities. However, it is difficult for a comment to be lost.

Now, the top stakeholders in the community sees the gross positive effect of more comments on the SEO ranking of the leofinance website and thus would be ready to support as many users who would give their time to engagement. One thing is certain, an organic comment is time consuming !

Aside from LeoFinance, other communities that I easily found recognition was the @Clicktrackprofit and @Hivelist. These two communities form a great niche for marketers (affiliate) and ecommerce enthusiasts. Thanks to a user like @ph1102 whose reward on comments made the CTP tribe an enjoyable place to post.

I also discovered that @jongolson stops at nothing to ensure that he gives out rewards to all users who comment under the official update of the community as well as under his personal posts. For this community. Starting the journey with comments engagement could be the best way to draw value.

The Hivelist community which places premium on ecommerce and commerce contents was one niche that I found quite difficult to create a fitting post. However, I gathered a great wealth of knowledge in the comments section of the authentic posts in that community as well as a supportive upvote. This is one of the factors that endeared me to building my stake in LIST token.

Having length the wisdom, don't stand aloof, boost your earnings in the tribes with comments engagement. Stop complaining that your posts are no voted, get recognized by dropping an insightful comment under another user's post.

Some people can be pretty discouraged I mean it's a growing community and a growing project and sometimes a new user might feel they don't know their place. I felt this way in the beginning but then with time I used engagement to garner a lot of support for myself. Engagement is king, honestly

Some people can be pretty discouraged

Each time I see this, it makes me wonder what the expectations are. Why would someone expect to come to Leofinance, Hive, or any platform, and instantly get recognized and earn huge rewards?

I mean did they instantly become a YouTube star?

I guess in the age of instant gratification, people just gravitate towards "give me it all now".

There are many on here who have been posting, DAILY, for years, not missing a day. THey put in the time and effort, often with little to no feedback or rewards. Yet they kept at it until success was attained.

I hear one thing a lot "people think that because it's a social media platform" they'll gently slid in an do their thing. Most of the times they're always wrong.

Ignorance really destroyers faster than rocket. This is one message I keep driving into the heads of my mentees... "do you think votes are given by ghosts?" SOme people do not understand the human factor that gives value to this blockchain. Here is not a money doubling scheme, rather a place of "work". Engagement is the work tat deserves a pay.

Lazy people all the way thinking that Crypto is all ponzi. I see my engagement on Hive as a "work". I give my energy and decent time.

How I find myself in your story...
I became active on leofinance about one and a half months ago and for quite some weeks I manage to score the second place every week in the leo stats, always behind @taskmaster4450le. Last week I managed to cast 460 comments and I already feel the pain of them in my right hand after all that typing. Is addictive though and I love spending time in here especially during this bull market. Indeed quite exciting times ahead.

Hmm. Probably... Never done that though and not being a native English speaker I wonder how accurate the typing will be.

Engagement is a key ingredient here on Leo Finance and simply brings all the community together. Exchanging opinions and learning new financial things and revenue streams each day is the path to financial freedom. Take for example the RUNE videos and posts running around for several weeks and days and look now at the price of it. This is knowledge and the power lays in using it.

That is absolutely true. We can learn from the insights of others. There are many who are making money in different ways on here. It is crucial that we start tapping into this knowledge base.

This is knowledge and the power lays in using it. (sic)

The whole story surrounding $RUNE is seeming like a mirage. Just now, $RUNE is $1 in value. Who knows the direction its heading after now. We shouldn't joke with knowledge. One should be deliberate in putting knowledge to use.

Comments will help people to stand out. It is the way we get noticed. There are thousands of account on here each day and it is easy to get lost.

Communities certainly narrow things down. However, it is still possible to get lost in a community.

Comments alleviate this. They allow older users to "get to know" one.

Honored to have you onboard man! You have been a huge asset for our community and thanks for all your support and kind words!

No matter what path people choose, Leo, CTP, LIST....All fantastic! And have become more of an attraction than looking for just Hive recognition. So much easier to stick out in these communities when you lead with value and engagement!

Thanks for the mention, sir! I'm happy to see that my engagement on Hive has been seen by others, and rewarding people who engage with me is something natural...

Also, I have to say that our friendship was on a mutual benefit... You pointed out some great things in your posts, and I got involved in some other tribes thanks to you...

And thanks for a good call for some HiveEngine tokens... ;)

This was my plan since Steemit. I remember when i first joined there, it was so hard for someone to find my lengthy posts as well. So i started finding posts that was interesting in my eyes read them and make a meaningful comment. That way i quickly earned some audience as well as some great curations for big trails.

Now although i have joined Leo a couple of months ago, i was absent for about 3 months. 3-4 days ago i came back and saw how Leo grew, but that meant that my posts wouldn't earn the same amount as before which is exactly what happened.

At first i felt a little bit discouraged as i saw other small posts without anything special ,of about 100 words earning triple the amount. I said to myself:

"chill don't get into that loop and do what you always did"

Writing quality posts and engage with other authors that you like their posts... Simple as that

To be able to stay on course during an engagement game, questions would be a great way to spice a deep and long discussion underneath.

I have always had great challenge engaging people's content because most times I feel very inadequate or perhaps i lack proper understanding as to what to say. Though I knew that engaging the comments session in people's post is one very effective modules operandi to our growth here. But just reading through your post Sir i am already very prepared to engage.

Thank you for taking time to explain this to us new users.

That's the feeling of every new user. I was there personally buit since I needed to grow, I offered myself for learning. The good thing here is that we learn on the job. There is room for improvements each day.

Outside of the value of comments financially a lot of people really enjoy the engagement. For some just starting out, a good comment could be more valuable and more encouraging to them than an upvote. I know of a few people who actually left the platform because their posts were earning money but nobody was talking to them. They wanted to share knowledge and meet people with similar interests and only found upvotes with very little engagement. Engagement can be profitable, and help get you noticed, but the real value is in how they encourage people to carry on and make a home here. Great post, comments and engagement will build our community and carry us into the next level as new users arrive!

Very true. At some point, I lost touch on the quality of posts that could earn decent LEO. Engaging other users was the way out to learn from other authors and today, things have improved.

Post payout and quality of content has no direct correlation for most of the posts in Hive so I never get dishearten by them because I know what I am posting and how good it is.
Engagement pays, always and in every walk of life.
