About Hive Dapps Writing Contest (2) LEODEX - 30 LEO in Prizes
I'm aware of a few folks here on Hive blockchain that have some tangible quantity and value of Hive tokens without knowing. Some of these tokens were airdropped back then on Steem and were transferred to Hive after the fork. Some of the tokens were received via comments upvotes received on blogs posted via the tribes. This ignorance is really deep as these set of users are missing out of the future of Hive which will draw its buzz from the second layers.
Yesterday, @trumpman posted a tweet promising out a bounty of 1000 BRO token (3000 HIVE) for developers who will be willing to build a creative tool that utilizes the NEOXAG token which powers the Neoxian City tribe. Read here. In the near future, I'm anticipating 500 dapps of Hive built exclusively to utilize Hive's second layer protocols. This is the future of Hive.
Some perhaps have heard about the tokens and perceive they have some and perhaps see them via wallet interfaces like peakd and leofinance which also lists balances and staked amounts of Hive tokens, but lack the knowhow to access them or convert them to useful forms.
LeoDex is a Dapp created by the Leofinance community to serve as an exchange interface that connects to the Hive-Engine project on the Hive blockchain. With LeoDex, you can trade and manage your Hive-based tokens. So far, Hive tokens can be used in the following ways:
- staked for curation rewards
- Staked for mining rewards (for miner tokens)
- Pooled for DeFi like LEO -> wLEO
- Traded for HIVE and then to BTC, ETH, STEEM, BLURT, etc
- And many more other operations
MY AIM
My aim is to bring to the know of general internet users, the various Dapps that are available on Hive blockchain, especially as it relates to second layer tokens. For those who don't know, I run an offline crypto-powered blogging tutorials in my Training hub in Uyo. I do this, to help the new hivers in my environment to tap from my wealth of experience and also utilize my gadgets for some of them who do not have.
Today, I also ran related google search for Leodex and got the following outcomes.

We can see from the above screenshot of google search results, leodex with all its advantages for second layer Hive tokens is yet to be tracked on google.
A CONTEST EMERGES
Since I could not find enough detailed articles on the use of LeoDex which is a great tool for Hive blockchain, I decided to call-out for entries. Here are a guide posts that would help explain few things about LeoDex:

Lol you do know all your searches are personalised so not everyone is getting the rankings the way you get them, everyone's is different its just about your potential to rank in the top 10,5 or 3 spots. Rankings are not static and even ranking #1 for X term doesn't mean traffic. You could rank #10 for another term and get more traffic than #1 for another term
The whole SEO for HIVE tribes isn't going to happen unfortunately, Google sees most of this as duplication since none of it is canonicalised so its always going to be a loss up on which one gets picked first. Normally the one with most diverse back linking profile gets picked, and ofcourse medium would be that.
It's also why steemit posts still outrank any other of the front end posts if its the same post

Woah, you really made a point a here, I think I've heard of this kind of talk before in a discord channel.
The thing is, if we (hive) keep pushing,we might outrun bothvsteemit6 and medium.

Oh for sure, of that I have no doubt, the network effects potential is far bigger than SEO, I think I'm just over this SEO silver bullet narrative, it's just not going to happen, unfortunately. Social media sites need to rely on brand, most people arent going to Facebook or reddit or QUora for because they have great SEO but because they are good products, most of the users go direct, the SEO is just a part of it. Build your brand and yout community and you wont need to worry about SEO
I vividly understand your point. However, I'm specific when I talk about the Leofinance.io end which is primarily an archive for crypto and blockchain knowledge. People make daily searches of crypto and SEO rating to a great extent determines which website would pop up with the needed related information.
