A good time to buy SIM?
For those of you living in a cave, the third edition of DCITY is supposed to come out in just a couple few days.
So, some would argue that it is a good time to buy the native currency of the game (sim) as there is a good chance people will start buying it hard to get themselves new cards for the game, as with the current prices it is cheaper to get cards with sim instead of hive.
On the other hand, the whales of the game hold millions and millions and millions of sim waiting for a good chance like this one to dump it. Not to mention how the stupid high taxes have driven many players away of the game.
I don't know about you but dcity has been a great investment for me and I have already made some nice profits, so for the next couple few days I will be buying myself a few dozen thousands!
Best case scenario? The price returns to the theoretical peg or close enoufh, I sell swing some and get plenty of free cards!
Worst case scenario? It doesn't, I throw all the sim to buy 3rd gen cards and play the long game. It's fun anyways ;-)

I get a decent amount of SIM Tokens as Dividends for holding BRO & INDEX Tokens. I did not really care about keeping them since I am not interested in games. But now that you have mentioned this @trumpman, I guess I won't be selling them every week. Thanks once again for your valuable pointers, please keep them coming.

The whole "tax" thing pretty much put me off caring much about that game. Sort of ironic, really... here we are in the cryptosphere, filled with anarchist-leaning Libertarians insisting that "taxation is theft" and one of our more visible game dApps is dominated by ridiculous taxes...
But I certain hope you're right and you make a nice profit!

I should probably buy some SIM so I can make that minimum cutoff but I don't exactly want to buy at these prices. The decisions are so tough.

I think the minimum is 7k sim , might try to see if I could meet up. You can also give it a try , I believe the third edition card should make a difference to the game and get more people to buy in to increase their city
And that will help the token to keep growing when there are more demands and less supply...@marvinix

3rd editions was supposed to be last month ;)
I have faith it's coming soon but idk about the end of this month maybe 1-2 weeks into the next month but still a great buying opportunity I feel. With burning and combining of cards it's most likely going to really shift things around. Big question is going to be is it worth burning the cards do they provide more value.

It's not exactly a video game, a few clicks a day are more then enough, price seems to be picking up hopefully it will stay at the peg for a while
Yeah, it has been a long time since I logged into the game because the taxes were just killing my income. I picked up some solar plants a couple of weeks ago, but beyond that I just haven't been playing the game. This is great news and I hope it works out well for you.

Due to Hive price way high
it has become like a trap for sim to go higher
unless the distribution cut in half without taxes

Brilliant, the more people that buy SIM, the more its value increases. The return I get by selling the Token on the LeoDex makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Yesterday, I was trying to get in the game, know about information directly on its website and maybe also buy some structures, but there was a bug or something I couldn´t even enter in the information link... So, I searched information and I saw that the profits are decreese a lot by the taxes, and It could be because of the president, I don´t know if this is the rigth answer, anyway I hope that the game recover its brigth and someday I could invest there. I saw a change I don't know if for the better, I still have to get used to it. Taxes reflect fiscal pressure, at least in Europe. We are going through a tax disaster, especially with the services that citizens receive.
