Time Management

Hello SPI'ers, it's Friday and I have just this minute finished and uploaded the weekly CUBLIFE earning report. If you dont know what @cublife is, check out the @lbi-token blog when there a post every Friday. It's been a while since I went back to back posts but I am pressed for time and time is important. My real job has been getting busy and my computer time is reduced. How do you manage your time? The time to use for HIVE activities are investments? Do you spend hours sharing charts trying to understand them or writing a single post? do rush through everything and just get it done mostly half-assed but ticked off the list? We all have our own way of going about things.

Oh and i cant upload pictures to any frontend so no thumbnail but you already know that.

Time management

This is something we all know about but rarely used. It's really amazing the amount of stuff you can do in 15-30 minutes if can make yourself do it. Im not talking all your time, im talking about the time you have allocated to HIVE/investing. Im not gonna say things like harvest CUB while your watching NETFLIX are listening to audiobooks in a shower. What about you have an hour a day, how do you use it?

Never uploaded a video to 3speak? you could make a 5-minute video just talking about something you know about and it'll take 5-10 minutes to upload, there are 15 minutes used and something you've never done before done. You might think no way, you can do it in 15 minutes but I bet you can if you dont get sidetracked by things like looking at your phone are getting "title" baited into watching other videos on 3speak. While you wait for the video you upload, you can spend 5-10 minutes checking your HIVE games are HE wallet.

To be fair, only a seasoned user could do it in 15 minutes, a newbie or first-timer would have no chance in that time frame. If you were to upload 1 unedited 5-minute video per day for 20 days, I bet you could do it in under 15 minutes.

Could do all your daily defi stuff in under 15 minutes? Think how quickly it can go to CUB, harvest convert to whatever and then close the tab down. 5 minutes? max. You can easily get around 3-5 farms in under 15 minutes if you can harvest, convert and close instead of looking at APY's of farms your never going to enter.

I'd say you can produce a decent post in 30 minutes depending on your content. Many people just post a snapshot of some fitness app and add 8 lines to collect $thousands every year. 5 minutes work for them. I personally take 1-4 hours to write a post depending on what it is but I know I could bang out a decent post with good information in under 30 minutes.

So there you have it, in 1 hour you can produce a 5-minute unedited video vlog, check your games, collect all your defi rewards and convert them and write a post. It would be an intense hour but filled with productivity.

If you had an hour a day, you probably would not spend it like this, this is just an extreme example of what could be done. The point is if you know roughly how long something takes you to do, you can plan that around things.

Im no expert but I know I can get a lot of stuff very quickly when im in the zone. I am able to do this because I've done it hundreds of times. What sorts of things? meanly SPinvest tracking, hive-engine and defi investing stuff. For SPinvest, I have to track a lot of things and by doing it almost every day for over 2 years I have a good workflow and each thing blends into the next.

By the way, SPinvest had its 2 years birthday 2 days back. Ye-haaa

So you have 1 hour a day to dedicate to HIVE/investing? How do you use it? Write a post, harvest some CUB, curate a few posts are do you spend the first 20 minutes looking at coingecko to check the price of your bags?

One of the best investments you ever make is a notepad or whiteboard to take notes. You are amazed at the things you forget and how your timeline of events can be way off. If you are a PC user and have the room, an extra screen makes all the difference and really speeds things up.

Anyways, my whiteboard tells me to which account I need to post that day and what tasks are required. The weekly SPinvest report takes 10 minutes to produce as I rarely go over 500 words and it's mostly copy/paste excel cells. but it takes time to collect the data required to produce the actual report. Each day I know roughly how long my post will take based on what I need to make that post. When I know how long my post will take, I can work on other things around it. It doesn't matter when I post, it's not like I'll say I have to do this at 5 pm but I know that I need to free that time up and I'll know what I'll have to do.

I spend 2-8 hours a day tending to SPinvest and its tokens. Each day is a grind that has repeated many times which sounds boring but I actually like trying to beat my own times for doing things. I spend less time overall on SPinvest now compared to the first 2-3 months after launch. The work amount has multiplied but the time it takes has decreased overall.

I guess when I say time management, im really saying doing the same things over and over will let you get more done with the time you allocate for HIVE/investing. I sorta got lost.
