Hello and welcome to this SPinvest post
SPinvest is a tokenized investment fund/club for all users of social blockchains. Everyone is welcome! The concept of SPinvest is to get rich slowly by using time tested methods of earning, saving and compounding long term. This lets SPinvest offer an ROI of 20% per year on SPI tokens. We encourage long term investing on and off the blockchain. We hope someday everyone will HODL some SPI tokens that can be bought directly from @spinvest are through the steem-engine are dex.steemleo exchanges.

Hello everyone, it seems that HIVE and STEEM are far from finished battling it out as it was released today on Steemit that there would be a 22.8888 soft fork to take place on the STEEM blockchain. The purpose as far as i can see is to lock out the STEEM accounts held by the top witnesses on the STEEM blockchain pre hard fork of HIVE. I am not sure when the snapshot was taken from but i can confirm that this soft fork depending on when your reading ill have already happened. Im not smart enough to understand it all but it's a counter-attack for the HIVE hard fork, that i do know.

I have said before that SPinvest is not interested in any of this drama. We are going with the HIVE blockchain as far as posting content, building a community and pricing the SPI token but if there is any threat to the STEEM balance of SPinvest through voting on the certain witness's around a month back, make no bones about it, to protect investor's funds, those witness votes will be pulled. SPinvest is all down to support the community but not at risk of funds.

I wonder what sort of retaliation the affected STEEM witnesses will dish out in this game of coding wits. Are there any winners in war?

With the prices of both STEEM and HIVE pretty much back to a 1-1 ratio, where does that leave us? Is anyone actually buying HIVE? It's easy to see that STEEM still has a lot of support and a lot of people are copy/pasting posts from 1 chain to the other and double-dipping on post payouts. To the many that are powering down STEEM, i would guess much of it is being converted into Bitcoin are cashed out completely. I would say a small part, maybe 10% of power-downs are going to HIVE, that's an off the top number so nothing to back it up. I don't wanna be a hater but i think both chains are doomed like 2 battle ship's lined up side by side-firing blasting each other to pieces with each exchanged attack.

STEEM and HIVE don't feel like 2 different blockchains. They feel like heads are tails on the same coin if that makes sense. HIVE can never fully break away from STEEM as its the token it's forked from. HIVE can change things, make amendments and add additions to the chain but it'll still always be connected to STEEM. As SPinvest first power down comes in within the next few days, i am left thinking to myself, should we power down HIVE as well? Should we keep some STEEM liquid, say 20-30% of each power down? Should we just go fully backed off-platform in more stable investments? It's hard to know what to do with funds at the minute, how to best shield investors money.

Im gonna go ahead and say this bluntly

When SPinvest launched, i had great faith in the STEEM blockchain and i knew it was an undervalued blockchain that had a great community. I had 3 years of experience under my belt and was committed to point that i would have ran SPinvest and supported STEEM until it went to $0.00.

Fast forward a few months, Sun buys Steemit and the ninja stake. Blah, blah and a hard fork later we are here today with 2 chains fighting the bit out. On 1 side, we have STEEM being controlled by Sun, on the other side, we have a few of the top witnesses running the HIVE chain.

Now, personally, at this point, i have lost faith in both chains. I think a lot of others will share this feeling with me at the minute and just will not say it out loud. I personally don't see either doing very well in 3-5 years time from now and we have $30,000 worth of STEEM/HIVE tokens that i feel are gonna depreciate in value over time. It's hard to know what to do but i guess we are forced to wait and see how everything plays out.

Mate the way I see it, we have won big time. Not too long ago, STEEM was 12c. Now we have STEEM and HIVE worth 18 to 20c each. Whatever happens we have won.

Just need to get our STEEM into off platform and we are well infront.
