50th Anniversary of the Aboriginal Flag Coin Set
To add to my collection today I picked up a new Australian coin commemorative collection. The Royal Australian Mint’s 2021 Six Coin Uncirculated Year Set commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Australian Aboriginal Flag. This flag has much significance for the First Nations people of Australia and is a symbol of pride and unity for our First Nations People.
This set includes a collector version of the coloured two dollar coin produced for circulation to commemorate this anniversary.
The $2 coin is the only coin that differs from the normally circulated coins released in Australia. The Aboriginal Flag design is represented on the coin with the black and red fields printed over a relief pattern of miniature flags. The center of the coin has been left print-free allowing the gold of the coin’s alloy to shine through.
This uncirculated and sealed commemorative set cost $AUD30. Not a bad investment considering most uncirculated commemorative coin collections are doubling just a few years after release. I like to grab some of these sets just for collectings sake, not really for investing!

It's cool to get them kind of sets, you never know if the mint could shut down for coved or something and make the coins more scarce for the year.

I find that I tend to buy some coins for their History, Design and Theme than for Stacking reasons. Collecting is for fun and we don't have to strictly stack for the sake of Stacking.
This is a lovely looking Set of Coins.
