Axie Infinity || Play2Earn
Playtoearn games are rising everyday. Blockchain has become a hub for these sort of gamers. Who would mind, to play games and earn at the same time? Yep, I am also slowly diving into these zone and so far I am liking it very much. The rest depends on the games updates and how much ROI I am getting from these games.
AXIE Infinity
Axie Infinity is a NFT-based online video game developed by Vietnamese studio Sky Mavis,[1] which uses Ethereum-based cryptocurrency AXS (Axie Infinity Shards) and SLP (Smooth Love Potion).
The theme of the game is pretty easy to grasp! You need a certain character known as AXIE's (just like our SL cards) but you only need three Axies to start your journey. Once you acquire your axies you are good to go. Now, the price of Axies has been sky rocketing as the demand of them are getting higher as well. Which is why nowadays it will be probably a risk for new players to get in and out easily. But if you are in for a long term than it is probably ok as you will be getting a decent return everyday for few hours of tasks.
As you may see below, these are my 3 axies, which were choosen by one of my friend @Jlordc (thanks man). And since I am getting a hold of the rules slowly and getting closer each day I am planning to get my initial investment back as soon as possible. After that I will upgrade my team and probably go for higher level axies (pure ones). Fingers crossed!
I have been giving 2-3 hours everyday since my axies are little lower level and they need upgrades. But so far while playing the game, it always reminded me of Splinterlands. The game is quite similar to that and no need to mention that SL was my first playtoearn game. So it shall always take a place at my heart.
The above image as you may see, these are different levels which I completed and the ones (yellowish oval shaped) ones are yet to be completed. Currently I am having a tough time completing the levels as it takes a toll on my axies to complete those levels. Which is why I have been giving more time as we speak. But considering the amount which I have spent , it is worth it.
But needless to say the more levels you complete the easier it is to complete the quota of 100 SLP everyday. So, if you are thinking of diving into this game, DYOR and find 3 suitable Axies, which will give your true values.
This is the quest which if you complete, you will get 50 SLP tokens for that day.
- Daily Check in
- Complete 10 adventure mode levels matches
- Win 5 arena matches
Complete them and you are good to claim the 50 SLP's for that day as a quest reward.
Few drawbacks that I can say of this games are :
- Kind of expensive (For a decent team you will need min of $1200)
- Consumes too much time (When you loose, damn it is so annoying)
- Server issues (happens almost everyday)
- Energy consuming (drains too fast and you will need to leave the game to be for recharge)
- Since it is on ETH blockchain it will consume some ETH when you withdraw from the game tokens. But playing and buying and selling within the game will not charge you anything as they have introduced their own blockchain (RONIN) which gives you 100 free transactions everyday.
So currently I am enjoying playing the game and that is what matters. Until I get bored or get my investment back, this is going to be a long hurdle for me. So better keep going at it ;) So are you into AXIE yet? Or planning to?

Yep, it would get you a decent team to get the daily SLP's very smoothly and also some additional benefits like virgin Axies maybe ;)

I was wondering how much you needed to build a set up. $1200, fair enough. Tho if I only had this amount and had to start from scrap, I would probably rather put that into splinterlands.

Well the ROI compared from both, I would put Axie at first but with a good deck we can definitely earn much more from SL that is for sure.
The problem is i don't have the funds to even buy a basic team and then i got other Playtowin games that are draining my time, So it is something i will get into i just don't know when.
that being said this is a great review and i look forward to reading more in the future

Kinda happened to me as well, so I am aware how it feels. But you may apply for scholarship programs of Axie, where users shares their account and those who plays they get 50% and the owner gets 50%!

Welcome Rehan12! Hopefully the Axies I have chosen for you is helping?! XD
They are mostly geared for doing Adventure easy (mostly attack cards) so I suspect you are having a hard time in Arena. Once you get your initial investment back and already make some profit, I highly recomend selling those and/or replacing them with good ones. XD

Yep they are doing good so far and they have helped me a lot. I will upgrade them or buy new ones once I get my initial investment back, till then waiting for the big payday ;)

Axxie infinity is something really amazing, since you can do a lot from your home, the bad thing as you say is the price, it is in high demand and that is why the high cost.
But a few days ago I was looking at the games that are in dappradar and there are many new games that if they have growth potential, it is necessary to make DYOR but playtoearn mode will present many benefits in the long term.

But I can't be playing games you know, not my type thesedays especially if you have to play for long hours, and I have to be updated about serious crypto movements thesedays.
But its interesting how this Blockchain gaming industry works.
