Hive Endgame: What's Your Game plan?

What is my endgame for Hive? What is your endgame for Hive? Where will the Hive blockchain and all of its platforms be in 5 years? Nobody really knows, and all we can do is speculate. If crypto and blockchain keep gaining traction and move ever closer to mainstream adoption, we could see Hive becoming the dominant super power in the social media space. Especially if Facebook and others fail to fall in line with the "new normal" of the internet. Development and revolution of blockchain is not a question anymore of if, but rather WHEN. So, its likely that it's coming.

So, back to the first question. What do I expect from Hive for myself? At first when I joined back in the Steemit days, the obvious attraction for me was the incentive of earning crypto. I stayed around for a few weeks and then joined Hive 3 years later. The difference being now that instead of just the incentive, I was actually ready to start blogging, while simultaneously moving further away from centralized media. Increasing my writing skills, being socially active without my data being sold and earning in the process is not a bad deal. If Hive where to continue providing me those 3 things, along with a means to buy more crypto and being self-sufficient in crypto, I would be content. What are your goals with Hive?

I want to be an established content creator. I want to be self-sufficient in 5years and not worry about upvotes. If I can achieve this then I will be content.

Till working the path towards financial freedom. I want to have enough not to worry about having. I am a couple of thousands of dollars from that.

From what I see, you're already well on your way!

With compounding and reinvesting 150K is not at all impossible. Good luck on the wise journey!

Well, I really don't have an endgame since I plan on being here for the long haul. When I joined I had never even heard of anything but Bitcoin and I joined while it was still Steem. I was introduced to all of this by @jongolson and @blainjones when I reconnected with Click Track Profit after their relaunch. The initial attraction was the ability to blog and earn money for it and engaging with people by liking and curating/sharing their content. Once we moved over to Hive that interest continued as well as learning more about being decentralized and not having my information sold or used without my consent. I love that my content will be on here forever. Don't have to worry about being kicked off and I can develop a passive income and build a community and business here as well. So I have a long term plan not really and endgame.

I meant "endgame" more as a game plan and not an exit plan, but it's good that you don't see it that way either. Maybe not the best choice of words. 😅 But you are right, I definitely see myself on this platform years from now. Facebook, not so much.

I have to say there have been some quality Hivers signing up lately. Will they stick around? Who knows. I always had big dreams for the platform from first starting on Steemit. Not sure how much will change in 5 years, but I am enjoying the ride.

Enjoying the ride is the best way to experience Hive. Without much seriousness and business attached you're twice as surprised when you see what you've earned each week or month.
