Finance is like Nature: You Have to Plant the Seeds

We often take nature for granted. Those who live in concrete jungles void of nature possibly do this even more than others. But even those of us living surrounded by earth and trees, a well developed climate, ignore the value of what nature has to offer. Here in Suriname it's common that even the most impoverished family has a piece of ground surrounding their home on which they can plant on. And yet many don't even bother. This same ignorance can be applied globally to how people view their finances.

Work to make money, spend money, work to make more money, spend more money, the never-ending cycle of the common financial being. Doomed to repeat the cycle till death, many live comfortable lives, not knowing or realizing that there is a better way to do things. Just like not knowing all it takes in nature to gain sustenance is to plant a simple seed, in the same way not many realize the first step to financial independence is to plant the proverbial seed. The seed of wealth. The seed of passive income and compounding. You can be the master of your own finances. All you need to do is plant the first seed.

Good piece of wisdom shared there. When we plant our seed, we shouldn’t forget to be patient with it. It takes time to grow.

Seed planting is very important indeed. Little nuggets of wisdom go a long way in encouraging us along the path to harvest time and fruitfulness.

Yes, the seeds of wisdom are as valuable as actual seeds in the earth. I've started planting the latter as well.

Great to hear that. I’d love to see a few posts of your progress at different points from planting to harvest. Maybe you could draw some parallels to the finance as well.

I've already been taking pictures and planning the posts in my head. All I need now is time to write. xD Drawing more parallels with finance is a great idea. Thanks!
