Splinterlands : $330K collected before presale start.

Splinterland is trading card strategy game and almost has completed it 2+ years from it's first Kickstarter

Game has now matured a lot with new cards are added and new skills/ability created for battle. They decided to add land concept in the game and announced the presale as below.

So by seeing the above figure we know that first presale was aiming to raise $7500*30 =$225K.

So where the figure of $330K came now?
When Splinterland's released that only 30000 plots were be available in first presale, player community argued they will not be getting plots because when the plot sale will start ,they might be sleeping or in work. They need some kind of guarantee that they can get plot with fair chance.

Splinterland's decided to allot 27000 plots(out of 30000) on basis of lottery system , so that player can send the amount beforehand and take part in lottery.

So as you can see there are 44 entries (for 44 region, each costing $7500) so it is total of $7500*44 = $330K.

So in short , splinterland's first presale already got oversubscribed and it will be interesting to see, how much player will be going for second presale now.

On one hand it is annoying to think that chances are high to come out empty handed from this first pre-sale. On the other hand it is great to see so much interest in the lands expansion.

I always thought that first presale will be sold out but never thought that it can be oversubscribed in such extent.

Now there are thousand of small individual player and (44-27) 17 big investor for mere 3000 plots.

Keeping my finger crossed and hoping "lastdaypool" win the lottery. My plots are on that pool.

Quite impressive numbers, aren't they?
If I don't win in the first lottery, I'll certainly get the region in the second round. Either way, I'll try to snag a tract while I'm at it today :-)

Splinterland making new records and the this presale prove that again.
I got lucky and our pool got the Region (actually out of 3, 2 got it).
DEC price shows Assamese move....

Thinking about it $250K or there abouts doesn't sound like a whole lot of money for the kind of development that's going to need to be done!

Even with $1 million after all the land has gone, it's still not a great deal in terms of game development work!

Oh yes, it is not big amount in game development but it is still greater than their kickstarter 1, kickstarter 2 and tron seed campaign.

As far land is development concerned ,I guess they already have blueprint. (Partnership with gala games, Farmville developers) and a good start will really save their time and money.

Ah I guess so!

Well it's still in both our interests that it does well, discounted LAND or not!

Unfortunately, as we know, many were not "lucky" to be able to buy their land. I hope that the next pre-sale is fairer for everyone or as close as possible.
