AskLeo - When and how did you become a monetized content creator?

Greetings Hivers, in recent days I read the posts by @graciadegenios, @ambarvegas and @aguilaazul7777 in which they tell us their story about this question, responding to an initiative by @acesontop.

My story is very similar to theirs in the sense that we entered #Hive, thanks to the recruitment effort made by the @rutablockchain team led by @danielvehe and @enmy, so my story starts the same way that day I participated in a Whatsapp forum-chat organized by @danielvehe.

To be honest with you, I didn't encourage myself much at the beginning for two reasons, one because I was a bit wary of all this cryptocurrency stuff and the other because I wasn't at all a friend of social networks. So there were two big previous limitations to overcome in order to make my way in #Hive.

I spoke with a friend who had a #Hive account and she told me about all the things she had been able to do financially with the profits she had earned from the blog, assuring me of the reliability of the transactions. At the time, we had both just given birth, and she was able to buy many necessary things for his baby with the rewards earned.

This encouraged me to venture, because in the midst of the economic circumstances we are going through in Venezuela I needed to find an additional income, an activity that would allow me to increase my income without leaving my job so that I had to have the flexibility of schedule and organization to carry out both activities simultaneously.

So began my story in #Hive and in this world of Blogging and Blockchain, until then I had not even crossed my mind to consider that being a "Blogger" or "Content Creator" was a formal profession, I saw it more as a hobby, and since I started writing I realized all that this represents and how wrong I was in that perception.

Undoubtedly it's a profession, where the quality of the content and your work depends on all the potential you can put in your publications, creativity and assertiveness play a fundamental role, and clearly it is not something that everyone is good at. Apart from all that, you have to work hard, to learn new things and get out of your comfort zone, and learn to relate and build community.

It's a profession that requires certain attributes, and also that you have a passion for "communicating" and sharing who you are and what you do.

On the other hand, I find it fascinating and it is a great incentive that you can get rewards for your publications, that feeling of being your own boss and having the power to decide what you want to publish and how to do it gives you full freedom in the exercise of this profession.

Finally, it is of great value that the means of payment is through a currency that is revalued over time, since I started in #Hive its value has grown considerably, which in turn makes working with cryptocurrencies is at the same time an important way to save money.

I am very grateful to have found this opportunity, and have ventured to cross the threshold of the new and the unknown, I still have a lot to learn and improve, I know I will add more learning over time, for now I stay and keep "creating content" in #Hive.

¿Cómo y cuándo me convertí en Creadora de Contenido Monetizado?

Saludos Hivers, en días recientes leí las publicaciones de @graciadegenios, @ambarvegas y @aguilaazul7777 en las que nos cuentan su historia sobre esta pregunta, respondiendo a una iniciativa de @acesontop (puedes ver su publicación original aquí).

Mi historia se asemeja mucho a la de ellas en el sentido de que entramos a #Hive, gracias al esfuerzo de captación que hace el equipo de @rutablockchain liderado por @danielvehe y @enmy, de modo que mi historia empieza igualmente aquel día que participe en un foro-chat por Whatsapp organizado por @danielvehe.

Para serles sincera, no me animé mucho al principio por dos razones, una porque tenía un poco de recelo con todo este tema de las criptomonedas y la otra, porque no era para nada amiga de las redes sociales. Así que eran dos grandes limitaciones previas que superar para poder abrirme camino en #Hive.

Conversé con una amiga que tenía cuenta en #Hive y me contó todo lo que había podido hacer económicamente con las ganancias que había obtenido del blog, asegurándome la confiabilidad de las transacciones. En ese entonces, ambas recién habíamos dado a luz, y ella pudo comprar muchas cosas necesarias para su bebé con las recompensas obtenidas.

Esto me animó a aventurarme, porque en medio de las circunstancias económicas que estamos atravesando en Venezuela requería buscar un ingreso adicional, una actividad que me permitiera incrementar mis entradas sin abandonar mi empleo de modo que debía al mismo tiempo tener la flexibilidad de horario y organización para llevar ambas actividades simultáneamente.

Así empezó mi historia en #Hive y en este mundo de Blogging y Blockchain, hasta ese momento ni me había pasado por la mente considerar que ser "Bloguero" o "Creador de Contenido" era un oficio o profesión formal, lo veía más como un hobby, y desde que empecé a escribir me di cuenta todo lo que esto representa y lo errada que estaba en esa percepción.

Sin dudas es toda una profesión, dónde la calidad del contenido y tú trabajo depende de todas los potenciales que puedas poner en tus publicaciones, la creatividad y la asertividad juegan un papel fundamental, y claramente no es algo que se le dé bien a todo el mundo. Aparte de todo eso, hay que trabajar con esfuerzo, para aprender cosas nuevas y salir de la zona de confort, y aprender a relacionarte y hacer comunidad.

Es un oficio que requiere de ciertos dones y atributos, y también de que tengas pasión por "comunicar" y compartir lo que eres y lo que haces.

Por otra parte, me parece fascinante y es un gran aliciente que puedas obtener recompensas por tus publicaciones, esa sensación de ser tu propio jefe y tener el poder de decidir que quieres publicar y cómo hacerlo te da libertad plena en el ejercicio de esta profesión.

Finalmente, es de gran valor que el medio de pago sea a través de una moneda que se revaloriza en el tiempo, desde que inicie en #Hive su valor ha crecido considerablemente, lo que hace a su vez que trabajar por criptomonedas sea al mismo tiempo una forma de ahorro importante.

Me encuentro muy agradecida de haber encontrado está oportunidad, y haberme aventurado a atravesar ese umbral de lo nuevo y lo desconocido, aún me queda muchísimo por aprender y por mejorar, sé que iré sumando más aprendizajes con el tiempo, por ahora me quedo y mantengo "creando contenido" en #Hive.
