...that's the precise number of days from January 10th 2018 until today.

And just like the vast majority of users around here, I started my Steem Hive journey with 15 delegated STEEM HIVE tokens from the company that still try to justify the theft of 23 million STEEM tokens from 65 accounts and turned into a shithole a really promising project...

It's got to be 3 HIVE nowadays...I think.

The stage was set for a celebration post. I claimed all my unclaimed rewards for the day, took a close look at my HP, realized that I was only 7 HP short from reaching 100K HP...and let infation do the rest...

WTF are you even talking about @mindtrap? What does inflation have to do with this?

Oh...didn't you know? If you take a look at your wallet on hive.blog you'll notice that the current annual rate is 3.36% which means that a 100K HP account will earn ~ 3360 extra HIVE in a year's time. Which is something less than 10 HIVE per day.

You could read some of @edicted's posts about inflation. You might learn a thing or two...

That's right...

100K HP accounts earn ~ 10 HIVE per day or 300 per month.

200K HP accounts earn ~ 20 HIVE per day or 600 per month.

And @blocktrades which is a massive account, is earning ~ 700 HIVE per day.

Locking up your stake for 13 weeks is a huge commitment. Especially in a world where everything can change in a blink of an eye.

I knew it from the very first moment when I started investing in HIVE. That's exactly the reason why I took the risk and kept powering up my account.

Because I treat Hive with respect and I don't want to extract value from it but to bring value to it. I don't care about HIVE trading nor I plan to power down my account to cover some of my needs.

Does that mean that everything is perfect? Nope. Not even close...For instance this 13 week lock up is a barrier and I hope that witnesses will realize that we should reduce it a lot to make Hive even more attractive.

The potentials around here are endless...therefore I have a long term plan...

Nah...not with Hive. Hive is unique.

Don't get me wrong. I DO trade. I do have financial issues just like most of you. I just use other coins for that and thankfully I have a really good streak of successful trades lately hat allow me to further invest in HIVE.

Just try to imagine HIVE hitting 1$ or 3$...sounds like science fiction story eh? REALLY?

In case you missed it, thanks to @fbslo as of now Hive is live on Ethereum blockchain. A brand new world...so think again.

Wrapped Hive (WHIVE) is ERC20 token on Ethereum blockchain. It's backed by "real" HIVE and can be converted ("unwrapped") at any time.
It allows HIVE to be traded on Decentralized exchanges (DEXes) on Ethereum and be used with DeFi platforms.

You don't have to make large buys to grow your account. Small chunks here and there and your account will grow in no time...

A great post and congratulations on your achievement. I was here a bit before you, August 2017, and I can tell you that 100K was the farthest thing from my mind. Yet I managed to reach that goal.

There is so much going on that Hive is going to make noise on a big scale. Yes there are still issues but we are heading in the right direction. wHIVE is just one brick in the foundation being laid.

We have the hard fork in a few weeks, and then it is onto the discussion about the next fork. The stepping stones are before us.

It all adds up. I am banking on exponential growth of Hive at some point which will be reflected in the price of the token. When and where that will come from, I have no idea.

That said, the bags people are holding could truly be life changing money.

This is a great adventure and one proof that if you put your mind and work for it you can reach it high.

I'm powering everything I have with the exceptions of some investments I did in some hive games (last one was on DCity), but just love to power up and have a target for this year end of 10,000 Hive Power. And one such gesture made while I am replying to this.

Hehehe...that's a perfect example of how fast small purchases add up.

Well to be honest I also made a few big ones but that's only because a couple of my crypto investments allowed me to sell high buy back low and make some serious profits so that I can also invest in HIVE.

I don't really know why I am holding ETH too tbh...Been waiting ETH 2.0 like forever...and tbh I think all the hype and speculation is already priced in...

Eventually you'll make the right choice. No one but you knows what's best for you right now...I just ave a hunch that you'll join me sooner than later

I've abandoned all but 3 projects (BTC, ETH, HIVE) because my new philosophy is to only hold the coins you actually use... However, my only use-case for ETH has been giving myself loans, gambling on the market, and overextending myself. Gambling isn't really a use case, I can do that on any network.

I also got into a long twitter thread with some guy who posted tons of information about ETH being a hugely premined scam... Also I've been hearing whispers of the nodes not even knowing the total supply of ETH. The more I think about it, the more I realize I have a lot of money sitting in a network I know nothing about.

One more reason to hold more Hive. You are an insider around here...you know how things work, the mechanics...almost everything. We're literally experts. In a couple of years newcomers on Hive won't have to go through what you and I have been through to learn all these shit. Things will be simpler Couple that with the fact that WHIVE in now live on ETH and you have all the answers.

Congrats on the milestone! I've certainly still got a way to go before I hit 100K, but I'm just grinding away and like you, trying to bring value to HIVE.

That's the thing about this place. It's so much more than just a nothing buy/hold investment. The community and content aspects make it an entirely different beast with endless possibilities.

Congrats ci have been just trying to get to 10k and it has taken me forever. Steem was 90 cents when I first bought it though, so 10k to me was a hard to reach, yet reasonable goal. I'm not going to make it there on Steem. But I should get that much hive, and in the near future even.

I only recently discovered hive (through splinterlands) and on the weekend, I decided to invest more to increase my HP.

I am now just under 300 HP. My first goal was 100 HP and now I am grinding to 1000 HP.
