The year 2020 was a challenge, to say the least! Everyone knows what a shit show it was! I don’t wanna look back and dwell on the past. I wanna look forward.

So, with this post, I’m gonna do exactly that. At least with my financial goals. It’s time to make my financial goals for 2021.

Income

It all starts with income. I am on SSDI because of a permanent disability. Disability payments are a joke really, but I supplement my income by doing odd jobs, here and there. Im fortunate to have family help as well, but I plan to build upon my passive income streams, by getting a bit more creative this year!

Savings

Before, I had to go on disability, I worked in the financial sector for over a decade. During that time, I built o pretty nice “nest egg!” I subsequently made the decision to convert some of it into crypto. I plan to continue to stack my crypto, while maintaining some fiat for a rainy day!

Equities

I also have two small brokerage accounts. One for my long-term plays, the other for trading. Actively trading is a big source of my passive income.

Crypto

Crypto is another, much smaller source. I don’t really realize the income, rather I re-invest it. Im not a crypto trader, but I purchase a little every month. I mainly focus on BTC and ETH. My main investments, however, are in Hive & @leofinance! I also play @splinterlands daily, to build my game assets and for fun! Lastly, I use BlockFi to receive a bit of interest for the month. I’m a looking to continue to build upon my stakes and stacks!

Debt

During 2020, I made several impulse buys that got me into debt. I also made some much need purchases that contributed to it. It’s nothing I can’t handle, but it sure would be nice to totally eliminate it, by year ends.

Time Horizon

My immediate time horizon, is seven years! That’s when my son graduates high school! He’s one smart cookie, and he knows he wants to go to a good university. I don’t want money to be an issue.

Conclusion

I have some financial limitations, but opportunity is limitless! Well, at least, that’s what I’m telling myself. It’s largely about mindset, and I’m thinking 2021 will be a stellar year!
