CBOE working on Bitcoin Futures Trades Again!

Chicago Board Options Exchange, short for CBOE, provides a lot of option contracts trading for multiple assets. Recently as of yesterday news came out that they intend to provide BTC option contracts to trade in the near future. There was BTC option contracts traded in 2019 but due to lack luster demand back then, this was when BTC and the crypto market as a whole was recovering from the 2018 draw down, that CBOE decided to stop trading the asset class.

Now with revive demand for BTC and the overwhelming call option buying from retail in 2020 to date it appears CBOE is trying to fill in some more ways for traders to invest in options.

Cboe was the first regulated US derivatives exchange to list Bitcoin futures in December 2017, after which the digital asset touched the iconic $20,000 mark, the record Bitcoin broke last December.

The pent up demand for option contacts may likely be the next fuel to push BTC over $60k and to all time new highs assuming history repeats itself.

In addition to bring back BTC options CBOE is also trying to push out their own crypto ETFs. This is in the foot steps of many other institutions such as Fidelity, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. With banks and trade exchanges now trying to get into the crypto market it is easy to understand more capital will likely follow through the asset market. This could very well mean more price appreciation for BTC and crypto in general.
