Leofinance community; Mindset more than earning crypto!
Leofinance.io lately has been my home, a seemingly safe space , and no guesses, I live rent free☺️, a gift that keeps giving ,my life has been somewhat elevated of sort since I joined in on the hive and leofinance platform, my mentality ^^^^^^^^!!!!
Being rooted in psychology by training, I can tell the subtle effects of a mindset on individuals, and how far reaching its consequences are. Foundations are of grave importance in determining a person's future, being from Nigeria already puts you steps behind,as we all can see from the recent trends set by the most loving country , where a ban on Cryptocurrency and crypto transactions have been effected , where more significant underlying issues are left to sprout and eat up citizens, yet the leadership of the country chooses to remain in backwardness. Being a Nigerian (sometimes quite proudly, because home is home), there's is a mindset I've been made to deal with, thoroughly so! The crab mentality,which is evidently rooted in most Nigerians, the government perhaps has noticed that it's populace (mostly young) appear to be quite advanced technologically in ways they don't understand and are cashing out from this unfathomable Blockchain technology, what to do ? Block it !, Thwart it ! We don't understand it hence it is bad ! We cannot regulate it, hence it is bad ! This mentality has eaten up on even so many Nigerians without us even being aware of it , most recently @pharesim2 did a giveaway on twitter out of the generosity of his heart and his understanding of the Nigerian story and symphathetically, he decided to give 5 Nigerians 2000 hive each, just comment with your username on hive , this was awesome, finally he selected his winners and of course transferred their winnings promptly, this was the most beautiful thing , I knew about 3 of the winners ! Tho I didn't win , I was indeed happy for my friends, but there there was this bitter dude Name cannot be blank , obviously a dummy account, as this user wasn't brave enough to use his main Twitter handle🤡
His comment was about the lamest thing I've seen lately and having read it I feel dumber ,not to say enraged, twas easier to ignore, twas easier to congratulate the winners but no, he chose the toxic and bitter way,and it's pathetic. Well well, big ups to the organizer of the giveaway and to the winners!
Being downtown on the streets of the leofinance community,my mind has transcended the typical materialistic Nigerian mentality finding value in more less materialistic things, networking, connecting , learning, and Kudos to the awesome Nigerians down here!
