Dear LBI holders,

According to the last post, I'm sharing the results of the last votation (in voting order):

votes.png

Please kindly check for any transcription error (check VOTING POWER & YES/NO vote, a slight variation of total LBI aren't important unless it changes the power).

In case you need to remember the voting weights for every tranche:

1/ 10-99 LBIs will earn a vote equal to 1
2/ 100-499 LBIs will earn a vote equal to 2
3/ 500-2,499 LBIs will earn a vote equal to 3
4/ 2,500-9,999 LBIs will earn a vote equal to 4
5/ 10,000+ LBIs will earn a vote equal to 5

According to these votes, the final results are in:

The 'NO' wins.

This means Dividends will start rolling as soon as 1st of August.

  • 50% of weekly earnings will be shared as dividends from now onwards.
  • 40% will be reinvested (same as before).
  • 10% will be paid to @spinvest-leo as a management fee.

Final Observations

As a numbers guy, I like to observe data and extract additional conclusions.

It's curious to see how ~114K LBI participated in the votation. And from this 114K, ~100K voted for the NO, and the 14K remaining vote for the YES.

It's a big disparity to see that ~15% of the voting LBI involved accounted for ~40% of the voting power.

Why is this? Because a lot of small votes matter much more than a single vote from a big whale. Seems that most of the big holders voted for NO while the smaller ones voted for the YES.

This proves that even the tiniest holder matters (unlike in legacy systems), so no matter what, try to always vote!

Have a great day and thanks to everyone for their participation.

It is very interesting to see how the smaller accounts carried much of the vote. That is great and shows how each LBI token holder does have impact upon what is taking place.

Basically, five holders between 1-99 LBI (max LBI would be about 495 LBI) can match the vote of another user with +10K LBI... with the 4,95% of his holdings.

Like everything, it has its pros & cons.

  • the most obvious pro is that small user's matter = more decentralization when making decisions.

  • the most obvious con is that most engaged users in terms of % of holdings can see his vote diluted and feel 'exhausted' if the general direction doesn't fit their expectations.

Not bad or god per se. So far have been working nicely :)

That is some nice data. From what I see on LeoDex, it looks like around half of the unique LBI holders with more than 1 LBI voted. So at least it represents that a decent amount of people cared enough to vote.

Yes, I think it worked great as far as the mechanics go. The vote count per individual was 26 yes and 30 no so...even though the weight made it look more uneven, the majority still voted for the answer that "won". Personally, I think this weighted vote mechanic is very fair and I'm glad whoever thought of it, well....thought of it. Nice job!

That said, I'm very much looking forward to seeing the cheap LEO starting to hit my account. I love LBI but it doesn't grow my LEO curation. Now it will. :-)

Looks like there was a healthy turn out for the vote, and the decision has been made, so onward and upward.

Even though I votes to postpone the dividends I can't complain about enjoying them early :)

I'm not gonna freak out about the spreadsheet stuff.. But like.. we have programmers that could likely automate all of this stuff for you in an affordable and timely manner. Just a bit of food for thought.

Even though I would have wanted the dividends to be postponed so we have a very solid base, it's all good people vote at the end of the day. Guess this is best for everyone. Looking forward to August then

GOOD. LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!

I voted to delay last time but since then, LEO has shat the bedsheets, our investments are better spent now by the hodlers and placed where the individual sees fit. Maybe we can all profit from a mid-cycle bull market (something new for Crypto) and make hay while the sun shines
