🏊♂️ I Finally Dove Into Cub DeFi 🦁 It's Never To Late To Earn Your First CUB 📉
After much procrastination and a huge learning curve, I've finally used some liquid LEO and HIVE to fund my first investment on CubDeFi and earn my first CUB token.
First Things First, Getting Some BNB
the crypto that powers the Binance ecosystemI am still awaiting KYC approval for the new Binance.US site after getting the boot from Binance.com, and I intended to jump into Cub DeFi with some fiat I'd use to purchase BNB. Well, I got tired of waiting, so I researched various ways I could get my hands on some BNB without the use of the Binance.us site.
It may not be the cheapest way to get my hands on BNB, but SimpleSwap.io offers a direct HIVE to BNB exchange with an option to receive the funds at a BSC address. I had more than 1,000 liquid HIVE, so I sent 400 and received the BNB within a few minutes with just a few clicks.
CONVERTING LEO to BLEO ON BEP20 LEO
he gateway between LEO and BSCMoving liquid LEO over to Cub DeFi is super simple and done with just a few clicks via the BEP20 LEO site. Simply punch in your BSC address, have your liquid LEO ready, and verify it all with your Hive keys.
For this experiment I converted nearly 1,200 LEO in bLEO. I now had both BNB and bLEO in my BSC wallet, so things were just about to get cooking.
Cub DeFi
Cub Finance on the Binance Smart ChainI have faith in the LEO token, and even though the BLEO-BNB pool isn't the top performer on Cub DeFi at the moment, I am reluctant to let my LEO go, so I targeted this pool. I had much more LEO than BNB, so I made a quick exchange to bring the two balances closer together, making sure to leave some BNB for future gas fees.
In the end I provided 775.889 bLEO and 0.575922420029555826 WBNB as liquidity. This is simple and just takes a few clicks. You can easily to choose to max out one token to use your full balance.
After adding liquidity, I still wasn't done yet, I had to approve the contract and start farming, so I headed over to farms and few clicks later I was already earning CUB.
All in all, I was in for about $400 USD on this first experiment. It was quite fun watching the numbers roll over in real time. I earned my first CUB, and within 24 hours I earned around 2.5 CUB, a value of around $2.25 USD, not bad at all for a $400 investment.
I haven't harvested any CUB yet, but will probably do so every time I've accumulate at least 5 CUB, of which I intend to use in the CUB-BUSD pool. Hopefully by the time I get KYC approval and can easily buy BUSD with fiat, I'll also have enough CUB to make a significant investment.
It's never too late to start something new, and I'm glad I waited until having a clearer understanding of how to use my MetaMask wallet and perform Binance transactions before deciding to play with the big bucks, well big for me at least.
🙏 GIVE THANKS 🙏 |

You are going to dig it.
I'm already hooked and checking on it way too often, as if something's going to mysteriously change for no reason. !ENGAGE 5

I just moved my CUB from the CUB Den to the CUB Kingdom and now it harvest itself.
I'm still earning in the DEC-BUSD farm though and am not sure with that as it probably won't be turned into a Kingdom.
It's been a fun experiment as I've only used the 6 CUB I got in the airdrop and some DEC I had lying around and then compounded the CUB.
I haven't worked out the figures yet but my CUB is growing. I might have lost out in the DEC-BUSD farm though with the change in prices.

What are dens and kingdoms? I hear a lot of talk about Cub DeFi, but I'm a bit of a noob and don't know what those mean.
I'm definitely not the best person to explain it to you. It's all very new to me and most of it I don't understand. If you click on the Defi tag on the top of the page and scroll back you should be able to find some articles people wrote when it first started.
Or if you go on the CubDefi platform there is a document that explains it. It was all a bit complex for me though to be honest. The posts were better.
Sorry I can't help more. 😊

Thanks. I appreciate that. The input of a fellow noob also has value, for sure. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
I must admit I still don't fully understand why profits are generated, at least in the most basic sense. I'm a dinosaur I realize, so it would be easier for me to know that there is a CUB hotel chain, and the liquidity pairs and staking all work similar to shares of CUB hotel stock purchased.
I must say I understand the mechanics of how I claim my rewards and navigate the whole process, but how profit is generated is still like the "dark arts" to me.
There are a lot of good posts and info if you want the learn the basis ins and outs. https://docs.cubdefi.com/ is a good place to start learning, as well as https://academy.binance.com/en . !ENGAGE 10

Thanks. I get the basics of staking and liquidity pairs and stuff. But I'm not terribly well versed either. I think that's why I get stuck on platform specific terms like kingdom or den. I appreciate the reply and the links.

tokens.I am definitely still learning, and another learning curve will be to see how an unstaking goes. It seems the CUB-BUSD Farm is a hot one now, so I just got into that one last night. I don't have time for gaming nor do I enjoy it, but the wee bit of engagement needed to maintain the farms by harvesting makes it a bit fun.
I'm staying tuned to the kingdoms, awaiting anything I might want to join. Funny, I sold my CUB Airdrop on Hive-Engine when I got it, the whole thing was just way too intimidating for this noob back then. !ENGAGE 45

tokens.aaaah. i'll bookmark this i guess. still haven't tested the waters....
I put it off for far too long, but after spending countless hours learning about this DeFi and liquidity pool craze, it would almost be a waste of time if I didn't do a test run. So far so good, and you'll be glad to know it's far easier than managing a DCity account.
To be honest, it's the same kind of new fun and excitement that Hive gave me once I started getting decent post payouts. Any questions just let me know, glad to help. !ENGAGE 10

There are plenty of more detailed posts out there on how to dive in, with step-by-step instructions, but I wanted to this to serve as a quick and easy to read rundown of a noob's experience. !ENGAGE 5

Thanks Pov, I'll have to get you started on BSC one day. It'll be way easier because you won't have to deal with the Binance.us site. !ENGAGE 5

tokens.I'm still watching on the sideline coz I'm so stupid with all this stuff
Me and you are in the same boat, I sold my airdropped CUB on Hive-Engine because I was so overwhelmed and don't like to jump into things I don't fully understand.
I would recommend diving into the BSC DeFi pool. We're limited to a point with how much curation and posting rewards we can get on Hive because it all requires time, something I'm short on these days.
I like to think this is like a supplement to Hive, and it feels good to finally spread my crypto holdings to something other than solely Hive. I'm here for any questions you may have should you want to take the plunge. !ENGAGE 10

I am very impressed, and even more surprised that I received a HiveBuzz badge for this post being the highest payout yesterday. Now that I have some firsthand experience, it's much less challenging to write about crypto. !ENGAGE 5
