I've been asked in the past how I've managed to bring out quite decent contents or manage to stay relevant, stay in stride or manage to stay in the limelight while having little time to engage with my online activities, and sincerely I've found no answer to this myself. Truth is, I believe that "true wealth equals to time given".

I somehow believe that planning revolves around money, and money is gotten from utilizing time rather well. So time utilized rather properly is certain to yield dividends. I have been recently talking with a friend @joetunex and I found myself always talking about money or the opportunity to make money, then it began to hit me. I have compartmentalized myself to always utilizing my time to knowingly or inadvertently talking about the diverse prospects of making money.

When it comes to making money online, hive isn't my first rodeo and since 2014 I've been down this road, a lot of people have complained about not having the drive or passion to make money and this is majorly because they complain of having real-time commitment and cannot afford to spend time online.

But fast-forward to 2021 everyone wants to leave real-time for online, they want to opt out of the real world into things like play2earn. For someone living in a country as Nigeria, I've found out a long time ago that people are being cheated of their time. Some people work 12 hours and only earn like 2$, spend about 6 hours in traffic, take 2 hours to attend to miscellaneous and have only 4 hours to actually sleep.

This is a phenomenon that most people do not actually notice. The fact that they're in jobs is enough for them, they do not want to leave their comfort zone or spot the importance of time. Truth is, being ill for example takes away time that can be utilized for something else, and I'm not actually saying being ill is what we can control.

All I'm saying is that sometimes people are responsible for what actually takes their time and eventually makes them not have enough time. In 2017, I made the decision to never work again in a firm that would take up to 3 hours of my time on a daily basis, this is because I feel that the ultimate thing for me is to always create time to be fully innovative, and I cannot do that working in someone's company.

This might seem rather absurd, but then I've discovered it to always work for me. Some people believe that they being employed will take away poverty, but then this isn't true, what eventually keeps people in poverty is working for someone and achieving the dreams of that person while earning peanuts in the process.

I do not have anything against being employed and working 12-hours in a day. But does that time justify the means? Does the effort totally equal the reward? These are questions that would eventually foster change, the truth is, not everyone will ask this question and I wouldn't even be surprised. Unemployment is a motivation that is used to put people in unnecessary slavery, all in the name of people in jobs and the surprising thing is, a lot of people chose to be in their comfort zone because it brings certainty.

However, having the certainty of time is of course very important than having the certainty of being in a job that takes more than 60% of the time of a person. Now I left that job in 2017 not thinking of how unemployed I would be but thinking about the time I'll have at hand to be personally innovative which will eventually lead to me having money to take care of my needs as well as have time.

So time is an illusion but, ironically, we ourselves need to create it individually to suit our purposes. Priorities are what makes us create time, and this is how I often manage to create time for myself. Setting the right priority on top of my scale of preference.

It is always great chatting with you bro, I actually wanted to tell you yesterday I admire your way of reasoning but some other topic we were chatting about made skip my mind 🙂

However, having the certainty of time is of course very important than having the certainty of being in a job that takes more than 60%

Having a job often creates that certainty or security which isn't real but we stick to it than taking the unknown route towards self employment or investment that could have the chance to make a meaningful impact in our lives.
The rat race is something I strongly detest and getting out of it should be our goal.

I lived in this particular situation for 5 years, I had a job which I didn't want to lose because I felt there was no opportunities out there as a result of this I couldn't explore other opportunities because I felt being in a job was much more better than being unemployed. But then it turned out that it only took me to be unemployed to actually understand the financial bondage I was in. It's a serious issue.

In this world of uncertainty a solid job seems like security to many.
I thought so too until I threw away my job and walked into freedom.
However, it takes skill, effort and perhaps motivation to earn online.
Just being able to write may not be enough.
Maybe that is why I have never been able to make enough money online to call this a full time gig.
The other thing would be that I love to write and write is all I do. So I am happy wherever I write.

Apart from even writing or being skilled, the internet is brimming with so many other opportunities. Nowadays people are paid for even gaming, nowadays people are paid for predicting correctly, nowadays people are paid for studying charts and understanding how crypto works, it's a whole new world of opportunities only if you can discover what you can actually do well.

True, opportunities always abound. However, for the crypto challenged like me that is one huge challenge 😆. There is also the question of risks, investments in terms of gadgets and data resources. One thing I find difficult personally, when you do your research and read up stuff and think you are getting somewhere they end by saying do your own research. 👀 For novices like me that would be the major confuser. 😁 I am not putting everyone in this category, maybe there are a few others like me 😂

Time is money really but at some point hive isn't suppose to be an actual source of income because of the time frame and other things attached to it

There wasn't a mention of "hive", the whole post was about utilising one's time, the internet is bigger then hive and Crypto opportunities are getting bigger and changing people's lives, it's not about a source of income, it's about streams of opportunities better than statically earning.

I think a job means a stable life (housing, food and etc.) It won't make you rich or wealthy if you don't invest. Of course you need to pick good assets to invest in otherwise you are gambling. So I would say that a job is something that pays then bills. Anything else is for hobbies or to generate wealth (investments). If I can generate enough off my investments then working at that point might not be worth it. I would prefer to work on whatever I feel like.

I think sometimes it depends on the economy of where you are living as a person. Sometimes I do not even aim to attain stability because I am already living in an unstable country, and this is why I feel that being in a job is comparative to slavery because of the time it takes and the less reward it brings and how it even lessens people's life span and that is why I feel it is actually not worth it.

Well don't sell your self short, sir. While time management is arguably an essential aspect to success, it is just a strategy you incorporate well.

Your intelligence, respect for others, and the way you convey your thoughts is very concise. Your a champion of the people. When I look at you I seen an individual I would love to be around and learn from.

Well I do that sometimes, it helps me to actually attain an equilibrium. With the kind of life that I'm actually living, I feel that one of my strongest point is actually compartmentalization, although I will say that I do well with articulation and trying my best to put out what is quite sellable or attractive.

When I look at you I seen an individual I would love to be around and learn from.

Well, I'm really learning from you already and if feels more than profitable already.

Constant grind but being efficient as possible is key and you're doing that well.

Remove distractions and dedicated 15 - 30 minutes to commenting and reading and just that no side windows etc. You'd be surprised at how much you can get done.

Totally agree that getting a job can keep you in poverty.

Most jobs make you pay for your own clothing that you have to wear to work, the gas and wear on your car for driving in daily. The time you spend getting ready, driving and then clocking in for the day. It's such as wasteful system that actually just keeps you down. After all that beating down many have bought things to try and make themselves feel better. Thus you just got no where.

Thus you just got no where.

But then a lot of people would still choose that certainty of being in a job even if it puts them in poverty. This happens a lot in countries with high rates of unemployment. I do actually get that it is important to obtain or chase certainty in life but sometimes we end up building the dreams of other people because we are scared of how rigorous or dangerous building ours can be.

Constant grind but being efficient as possible is key and you're doing that well.

I'll take it over talent every day and every time, because consistency achieves you more than you even think.

Thanks for the awesome feedback, I appreciate.

Rightly said. People don't have similar passion. But I think they have their own priority.
For me, if we set priorities accordingly; money and every other things come in the way.

Yeah, priority is what eventually makes us consistent because we would be driven towards working to achieving or bringing such a priority to reality. Thanks for your comment.
